But Jennifer Lawrence ignored any critics as she took to the red carpet for the Red Sparrow European Premiere at Vue Cinema West End, London, on Monday.
The award-winning actress, 27, stunned onlookers in a very revealing golden Dior gown, posing up a storm as she put Sunday’s controversy firmly behind her.
The actress looked worlds away from her demure appearance at the BAFTAs on Sunday night, which saw her conform to the event’s black dress code in support of the Time’s Up sexual equality movement.

Slipping into the plunging floor-length Dior frock, the halterneck piece made the most of her enviable assets, revealing a generous glimpse of side boob.
The piece was cinched in at the waist, flowing out into an opulent, sequin-embellished skirt that elegantly skimmed the floor.
Tied together by a few dainty straps, the backless piece certainly stunned onlookers, distracting from the recent controversy.

Speaking to MailOnline at the event, Joel said of his role in the flick: ‘I’ve been interested in the world of being a spy since I was a kid. When I was ten years old I had a spy kit. I had binoculars. I had a recording device. I was fascinated by that world. I have no idea why. I don’t know if I was inspired by James Bond but I like the idea of the danger.’
Joining the duo was Matthias Schoenaerts, who plays Dominika’s uncle Ivan Dimitrevich Egorova in the upcoming flick.
The Belgian actor opted for an all-black ensemble, rocking a black t-shirt and matching black suit for the star-studded occasion, and told the Mail of playing a villain: ‘We’re supposed to be able to compartmentalise our mind, otherwise it would be a very unpleasant world. I just tried to think about what we were doing. Be happy around each other and be thankful.
‘It’s well written. Working with Jennifer is the best. You’re working with the best. So good respecting their talents.’

Speaking about casting for the film, Francis Lawrence- Director told us: ‘I read the book and though of Jen instantly. I called her up when I finished and pitched it to her. She immediately said that it sounds like a fun idea.
‘I change the ending of the movie compared to book, so fans of the book will be surprised’, he added.
Meanwhile Nicole O’Neill who plays a Russian ballet dancer revealed: ‘I actually have prior ballet training. I was in the Royal Ballet. That’s why I came to London from Edinburgh. I retired from ballet eight years ago from an injury. I was really poor, I was miserable and I went off another avenue and started acting.
‘To get a role like this was just amazing. And to revisit something that put two passions together was such a joy.’

And speaking about working with A-lister Jennifer, she added: ‘Working with Jennifer was amazing. She’s such a great girl. Such a laugh and so normal! She just rocks up and smashes out something so incredible. I just fangirl but then try to act cool.
Also present at the premiere on Monday was Scottish presenter Jenni Falconer, who braved the cold in a stylish black military trench coat and patent waist belt.
Adding a splash of colour she let a hint of her Gucci blouse peek through, opting for woolly tights and sky scraper ankle boots.
And injecting a touch of glamour to the red carpet was Nicole O’Neill, who stars in the film, dressed in a tangerine-coloured chiffon ruffle dress.

Viewers accused the Hunger Games star of being discourteous after presenter Joanna Lumley, 71, called her ‘the hottest woman on the planet’ ahead of her presenting the Best British Film gong on stage.
Kicking off the show, Joanna said: ‘Right let’s start giving out some of those beautiful BAFTAs shall we?
‘And we start with the award for Outstanding British Film and who better to kick the whole evening off than the hottest actress on the planet.

And defending herself against the influx of abuse on Monday, the actress explained that she and Joanna, 71, were having an ‘inside joke’ that people just didn’t get.
Talking to Ronan Keating on the Breakfast show, she said: ‘Everybody thought that I was being rude. But to be fair, I couldn’t have just walked out after she was like, ‘biggest movie star in the world!!’
‘And I’d just walked out and gone ‘thank you Joanna’. It would have been like, ‘so you agree? You think you’re really pretty!’.’
‘It was an inside joke. She went on and said all these really nice things about me and then when I got up to the podium, I was like ‘that was a bit much’.
‘After I just spent all backstage telling her how to be really nice to me. I wasn’t being rude, it was an inside joke’
