Jennifer Lawrence talks THAT nude photo leak

Jennifer Lawrence recently revealed just how vulnerable she felt when she was hacked and her private photos were leaked on the internet back in 2014.

The 27-year-old actress talked about the invasive experience as she said she is ‘still actually processing it’ on an episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter Podcast released on Monday.

The Oscar winner had strong words about the nude photo incident as she explained: ‘I don’t know, I feel like I got gang-banged by the f***ing planet — like, there’s not one person in the world that is not capable of seeing these intimate photos of me.

‘You can just be at a barbecue and somebody can just pull them up on their phone. That was a really impossible thing to process.’

Lawrence was not the only star of stature targeted in the leaks which began back on August 31, 2014 as many victims banded together for a lawsuit, however, the A-lister was not interested in taking legal action.

She explained: A lot of women were affected, and a lot of them reached out to me about suing Apple or suing — and none of that was gonna really bring me peace, none of that was gonna bring my nude body back to me and Nic [Lawrence’s former boyfriend and X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult], the person that they were intended for.

‘It wasn’t gonna bring any of that back. So I wasn’t interested in suing everybody; I was just interested in healing.’

Lawrence even recalled how she found out about the massive iCloud leak of celebrity photos.

‘When the hacking thing happened, it was so unbelievably violating that you can’t even put it into words,’ she said. ‘I think that I’m still actually processing it. When I first found out it was happening, my security reached out to me. It was happening minute-to-minute — it was almost like a ransom situation where they were releasing new ones every hour or so.’

The American Hustle actress also recalled a painful memory which came as a result of the ugly incident.

Lawrence said: ‘I think, like, a year and a half ago, somebody said something to me about how I was “a good role model for girls,” and I had to go into the bathroom and sob because I felt like an imposter — I felt like, “I can’t believe somebody still feels that way after what happened.”

‘It’s so many different things to process when you’ve been violated like that.’

She even said that after the photo hacking, the starlet did not want to do anything sexual on-screen.

Earlier this year, Edward Majerczyk, 29, from Chicago WAS sentenced to nine months in prison for hacking the electronic accounts of 30 celebrities, among them Jennifer, and stealing their private information, including nude videos and photos.

He was also ordered to pay $5,700 in restitution for counselling services for one undisclosed celebrity victim whose photos were disseminated online.

Federal agents have said Lawrence broke down and became distraught during a 2014 meeting about nude photos of her that appeared online. Lawrence called the leak a ‘sex crime’ in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine shortly after.

As many as 100 celebrities, including Kirsten Dunst and Kate Upton, were targeted in the huge photo leak in September 2014.
