Jermaine Jenas has claimed Mauricio Pochettino is currently enduring ‘one of the lowest points’ of his managerial reign at Tottenham after his side fell to a third consecutive defeat at Inter Milan.
Spurs conceded two late goals at the San Siro as Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino cancelled out Christian Eriksen’s opener in the side’s first Champions League game of the campaign.
The defeat continues a poor run of form for Spurs, who have also lost to both Watford and Liverpool in recent weeks. Jenas, working as a pundit for BT Sport, insists the Argentine is going through a rough patch.

Tottenham fell to a third defeat in-a-row at Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday
He said: ‘They (Tottenham) invited them (Inter) back to the party to an extent. Spurs were getting into great positions and should have done better with those.
‘At that point (the last 10 minutes) you’re thinking they were pressing right, and when they went back to that three in the middle, it went disjointed again.
‘This is probably one of Mauricio’s lowest points he’s found himself in as Spurs manager.’

Fellow pundit Owen Hargreaves was surprised that Spurs failed to emerge with all three points, given how Inter under performed for large periods.
Hargreaves added: ‘I thought they were the better team. There was a 10 minute spell they didn’t manage the game properly.
‘Inter were bang average, that’s the type of game you should win but will take a draw.
‘They found a way to give the game away at the end. I don’t think Inter believed they could win the game before Icardi scored that goal.’
