Jersey Shore’s Snooki discovers real reason for her adoption as she speaks to her birth mother for first time

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi discovered the real reason that she was put up for adoption as an infant while speaking to her birth mother for the first time. 

The TV personality, 37 – who recently reflected on her ‘unplanned’ pregnancy while filming Jersey Shore – took part in the emotional moment in Thursday’s episode of the MTV reunion series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

The reality star was adopted from Chile by an Italian-American family when she was just six-months-old, which she has previously opened up about. 

While speaking to her birth mom through a translator, Snooki – who was joined by castmate JWoww for support – asked: ‘Why was I put up for adoption?’ 

According to the translator, her birth mother ‘said when she realized she was pregnant, she told her partner, your father, and he just disappeared, leaving her by herself.

‘She didn’t have any support at that moment so that was the only option that she had. Even [though] it was painful, she had to let you go.’
