And model Jesinta Franklin revealed to her Instagram fans on Sunday that she’s trying out a meal plan for the first time to see whether it helps with the ‘week run’.

The 30-year-old’s weekly dinners are not as strict as you may think, with a healthy balance of lean protein, good carbohydrates and steamed vegetables.

Tuesday is a shepherd’s pie with salad, Wednesday is chicken stir-fry with kelp (a type of seaweed) noodles, and Thursday is a pasta with ‘sneaky’ mince meat.

The romance is well and truly alive in their marriage, with Buddy having surprised Jesinta this month by bringing home a huge bunch of stunning cherry blossoms.

Buddy, who is set to celebrate their wedding anniversary next month, got frank earlier this year when he discussed their marriage and fatherhood in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

Discussing what he loves most about fatherhood, he said: ‘I love everything about being a dad. But the evolution in my relationship with Jes from being a couple to a family is really special and rewarding, too.’

‘I’m not sure there is a secret… every relationship has its hurdles, and we all react differently to situations so it’s important to talk things through and keep an open mind,’ he said.

‘Having such busy schedules, it’s also important to us to set aside time as a couple, and as a family.’

And while Buddy may not be planning to have any more children in the immediate future, he’s still keeping his options open.

Buddy also shared his retirement plans, revealing he’d like to continue being involved in the AFL.

‘I would like to remain in the footy sphere, I love the game and the people within it,’ he said.

Buddy also said he hopes to impart his love of AFL upon his children, but won’t pressure them to follow in his footsteps by becoming athletes.

‘I just want them to enjoy the game’, he said.

‘Being able to bond over something I love and share that with them will be enough.’
