Buddy and Jesinta Franklin are not returning to Sydney any time soon.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Jesinta said she much prefers her new laidback lifestyle over the fast-pace city living.

‘It’s just really family-focused. My parents live up there, my grandma’s up there … everything is about the kids at the moment,’ the model and mother-of-two told the publication.

Jesinta, 33, who famously won Miss Universe Australia in 2010, still takes on modelling contracts, flying into Sydney on occasion, but prefers the ‘quality’ of her jobs and clients on the Gold Coast.

‘It’s just a really nice place to be and I’m kind of out of that real feeling that you have to hustle,’ she said.

The former WAG admitted she did fall into the Sydney rat race in the earlier years of her career, but the ‘bigger plan’ to find a quieter life for her and her family.

‘There were definitely times that I was burnt-out and really busy, but I also just had the end goal in mind,’ she said.

In 2022, the couple decided to make the move to the Sunshine State after buying a Mediterranean-style home in Reedy Creek for a record $8.75 million.

However, they have recently been trying to sell up in the hopes of enjoying a quieter ‘farm life’.

The luxurious seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom pad has been languishing on the market since last year.

The sprawling home covers a whopping 1096 square metres and features spectacular views of the nearby coastline.

The two-storey main residence boasts a ‘rumpus room’, a media room, and a private living room.

There’s also a large pool and entertainment deck with adjoining ‘pavilion’.

Design features includes grand floor-to-ceiling windows with ‘Spanish’ style arches, timber floors and lime-rendered walls.

Gold is used for the lights and taps, adding a touch of elegance.

The gourmet kitchen, meanwhile, offers a dolomite marble island breakfast bench.

A second two-bedroom residence on the estate serves as a ‘guest house’ and comes with two well-appointed bathrooms.

Buddy and Jesinta shares two children – Rocky and Tullulah.
