The Eyes of Tammy Faye star is currently appearing in Mother’s Instinct alongside Anne Hathaway.
The film is a remake of a 2018 Belgian film Duelles adapted from a novel by Barbara Abel, in which Chastain and Hathaway play best friends in the 1960s in suburban America who live idyllic lives.
Alice (Chastain) and Celine (Hathaway) are next-door neighbors with successful husbands and sons of the same age.
