Jessica Marais struggles to look at camera on The Project

She’s the star of Network Ten’s hit comedy-drama The Wrong Girl.

But it seems Jessica Marais may have given the wrong impression during her interview on The Project on Thursday.

In an odd move, the 32-year-old kept looking down at her lap instead of at the camera to Waleed Aly who was asking about her hit show.

Elsewhere in the interview Jessica revealed she had recently been rejected by two nail salons while trying to get a manicure.

‘I got rejected from two nail salons a week ago and took it personally…. By the third time I was like, I don’t need them done that badly,’ she quipped.

When asked by co-host Carrie Bickmore if there was something wrong with her hands, Jessica joked: ‘I was like, “what is it? Is it me?…” They apparently didn’t have the time and had other people in.’
