The couple’s anniversary – May 19 – is just under a month away, and Sussexes will likely be celebrating it with a newborn.

Meghan, who is nine months pregnant, is expected to give birth imminently, and Jessica, who is said to have met Meghan when she moved to Toronto to film Suits, is a likely choice for godmother for the royal baby.

Jessica is rumoured to play a significant part in the baby’s life, with Betfair putting her and her husband, Ben, son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, as 2/1 odds of becoming godparents.

Another close friend, Benita Litt may also be in the running.

Benita runs her own brand agency and consults people starting new businesses.

Meghan has spent the holidays with Litt and her family in the past. She is also godmother to Litt’s daughters, Rylan and Remi, who served as bridesmaids at her wedding.

Serena Williams, who reportedly hosted Meghan’s baby shower, could also be in the running to become a godparent. The pair have been close friends for nearly a decade, having first met at a Super Bowl party in 2010.
