Jessica Simpson’s days of being taller than her 11-year-old son Ace seem to be over, according to a new snap she posted.
The 44-year-old singer, actress and mom of three took to her Instagram story on Monday, sharing a black-and-white snap of her and Ace standing back-to-back.
Ace – wearing a pair of basketball sneakers – appears to be slightly taller than his mother, wearing a pair of leopard print fuzzy slippers.
Simpson is just 5’3″ so it’s not terribly surprising her son would be taller than her at some point.
The new snap comes just a day after Simpson shared a snap from a movie outing with her daughter Maxwell, 12, sister Ashlee, 39, and her daughter Jagger, 9.

She also recently shared a family photo before her kids went off to school, which revealed her oldest is taller than her too.
Even with Jessica wearing leopard-print platform heels, her oldest daughter Maxwell is still taller than her in just sneakers.
Another snap from the before-school photo shoot featured Jessica and Ace standing back-to-back, with Jessica appearing much taller… though she was in platform boots.
Simpson shares Maxwell, Ace and her youngest Birdie, 5, with her husband, former pro football player Eric Johnson, who celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary in July.
Earlier this month, Simpson was spotted at LAX, where she was asked about her sister Ashlee’s new music the possibility of new music coming out from her.
‘Definitely got new music coming very soon… before Ashlee, she better get her butt in the studio,’ Jessica joked.
When asked if there was a possibility that she could perform together with her sister, she said, ‘Oh yeah.’
‘We got lots to show off for our kids,’ she said, but when asked at what age she would let her kids join social media, she wasn’t sure.

‘I don’t trust it yet,’ she said of social media in general, indicating she’s not sure when her kids will join social media platforms.
The family just celebrated patriarch Johnson’s 45th birthday on September 15, who became a stay-at-home dad after co-founding the since-shuttered wellness content platform Legendary Disciplines in 2020 with Sifu Matthew Cohen.
Massachusetts-born Johnson was still technically married to former pole-dancing instructor Keri D’Angelo when he originally met Jessica through a mutual friend at her May 2010 house party, and he finalized his divorce just five months later.
The Yale-educated Johnson previously played for the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints from 2001-2007.
