Jessie J shows off her blossoming baby bump in funny snap – as she prepares to welcome first child

She will soon welcome her first child with partner Chanan Safir Colma.

And Jessie J showcased her blossoming bump on Instagram in a hilarious snap on Wednesday.

The singer, 34, shared a selfie looking up from underneath her growing belly, with her face peeking out from behind.

Captioning the funny photo she wrote: ‘Happy hump day’. 

It comes after reports the songstress was ‘filming a documentary’ to showcase the relaunch of her career and is ‘determined’ to not let being five months pregnant stop her from topping the charts.

Jessy celebrated her baby shower last week where she wore a gorgeous white bodycon dress to showcase her ever-growing bump.

But the popstar is also putting her career to the forefront of her priorities as she is said to be jugging preparing to become a new mum as well as getting back into music with a new LP.

A source told The Mirror: ‘Jessie’s determined not to let her pregnancy prevent her from relaunching her career.

‘The documentary will see Jessie discuss everything from her pregnancy, miscarriage, health problems, heartbreak and love life to her fall from public favour and planned comeback.’

The publication also reported that ‘various networks’ are interested in the documentary, meaning a second series could follow if the first is successful.

Last week, Jessie has celebrated her pregnancy by hosting a fun baby shower. 

The singer announced earlier this month she is expecting her first child and is already well into her pregnancy, having kept it under wraps. 

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Jessie shared a few glimpses of the party which saw her mum Rose and friends attend. 

The Price Tag hitmaker certainly splashed the cash for the occasion as she wore a  £1,295 plunging white dress from designer Gavlan London. 

The floor-length number hugged Jessie’s pregnancy curves. The singer teamed her all white look with booted heels and a long woolen coat. 

She added a pop of colour to her look with an orange Alexandra Klimek bounce bag. 

Jessie looked like she was having a blast as she shared a video of herself and her party guests battling it out to blow out a line of tealights with a very cheeky phrase. 

The songstress managed to extinguish the flame of the first few candles, while her mother did much better. One friend managed to blow them all out.

She wrote to fans:  ‘I can’t wait to share videos from my baby shower… I will edit them all together when I have time and this will make my main page for sure. But you deserve his laugh right now.

‘I haven’t laughed that hard in the longest. The more I heard back my mum shouting ‘p**** hole’ in my head the funnier it got.’ 

Jessie announced her pregnancy earlier this month, 13 months after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage.

Captioning her post, Jessie penned: ‘I am so happy and terrified to finally share this… Please be gentle with me.

 ‘Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked.’

The heartfelt clip was set to her own song Sunflower and featured her holding up a positive pregnancy test to reveal her baby joy.

 The video documented Jessie at various stages of her pregnancy, with the excited mother-to-be often tenderly cradling her bump as she smiled for the video.

In April last year, Jessie confirmed she was in a new relationship with basketballer Chanan Colman as they kissed on lunch date in LA, which came months after her miscarriage.

The pair first sparked romance rumours in March 2022 on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the Caribbean as Chanan has joined Jessie for the work trip.
