Married At First Sight star Jessika Power has given an update on her beloved sausage dog Sushi.

The reality TV star, 32, was forced to leave her fur baby behind with her ex-partner, British DJ Brent Anthony, in France following their split.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Jessica, 33, shared a series of clips revealing where she was in her quest to bring Sushi home – and the whopping cost of making it so.

Jessica slammed the company charged with transporting Sushi, claiming that they were the reason for the delay in returning the pet.

‘Sushi is still in France,’ Jessica said.

‘The reason being is because the pet courier company I was going through… have no idea what they’re doing. They don’t get back to me when I try to contact them.’

Jessika added that he quest to be reunited with her beloved Sushi had, thus far, taken five months.

‘I’ve been trying to get this dog back since December. He had to wait six months for his rabies shot vaccination to kick in fair enough- all good,’ she continued.

‘However, now that’s been done, I’m like well when can we get the dog over to England because Sushi needs to fly back to England first – in order for me to get him back to Australia. It’s just an easier process.’

Jessika then revealed the eye-watering cost associated with bringing her four-legged friend back home.

‘It cost me €40 ($71AUD) to get him in – it is costing me €2,500 ($4,452AUD) to get him out,’ she said.

‘I don’t know how it all works I should’ve really looked into it. It’s been the hardest process just to get him out of France.

‘Once he’s in England it’s a very straightforward process of getting him back over to Australia.’

Aside from that cost, Jessika added that she was willing to foot the bill for someone to travel from England to France to retrieve Sushi.

‘We’re currently looking for a new courier or if I have any friends here in England that want me to pay for their flights to France for a couple of days,’ she generously revealed.

‘I’m happy to pay for your accommodation in order for you to grab Sushi and bring him back into the English water.’

Continuing the expansive post, Jessika elaborated on the complicated process of being reunited with her pet.

‘As soon as he leaves France he will be in England for possibly two or three weeks and then he will take the long flight over back to Australia. He will only have to quarantine for 10 days,’ she explained.

Rounding out the post Jessika said that while heartbroken over being separated from Sushi for so long, she was keen to follow protocols to the letter to ensure his safe return to Australia.

‘I try to forget about it because it really makes me sad,’ she said.

‘I miss my dog quite a lot but, at the minute, I need to make sure I’m going though the right channels in order to get him home because if he is not properly vaccinated or anything like that when he arrives in Australian custom borders, he can be euthanised or he can be sent back home.’

Jessika’s post comes after she turned to fans for help in returning Sushi to her loving arms.

'It cost me 40 euros ($71AUD) to get him in - it is costing me 2,500 euros ($4,452AUD) to get him out,' Jessika added

Back in January, Jessika  announced that a GoFundMe page had been set up to assist in paying for her dog’s trip to Australia.

‘Missing my moo (sushi) sooooo much!!! He has 2 more months before he can come home – I hate how everyone thinks I would ever just abandon him. My good mate is looking after him,’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘I was so happy to leave him with people I loved and trusted but I can’t wait to have him back in my arms.

‘I have made a GoFund page to help bring him back because despite what I thought I could do it’s seeming to be way more difficult than I thought.’

Jessika went on to say she doesn’t want her fans to think she’s ‘taking advantage but sometimes you just need to ask for help’.

‘I don’t need the hate and animosity (happy to block and delete) everyone thinks I earn millions and millions but I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t need it.

‘Just because I’m a ‘celebrity’ doesn’t always mean unlimited money. I’ve also already dealt with this in the past but I am asking please for a little help.’

Jessika also shared a link to the GoFund me page, which is titled ‘Help me get my sushi boy home.’

‘I miss my baby so much and would love him to be back around people that I will ask for help,’ she wrote.

‘I don’t even mind if you don’t donate but at least read about how much I love him and see some pictures. It’s mental the amount they ask and I just want my baby back in my arms.’
