Jesy Nelson flashes her toned stomach as she heads for a date night with boyfriend Zion Foster

Her highly-anticipated new single, Bad Thing, was released on Friday.

And Jesy Nelson appeared to be in the mood to celebrate later that evening as she headed on a date night in London with her boyfriend Zion Foster.

The singer, 31, flashed her toned torso whilst walking hand-in-hand with her beau, opting for a mesh black long-sleeved top.

She added a pair of unique trousers, which began with a form-fitting legging design at the waist, before dropping into a baggy jean from the knee.

Heading to upmarket cocktail hospot Vesper Bar, Jesy appeared ready for some drinks after sending fans wild earlier in the day with her strikingly different voice on the new track.

Carrying a black handbag to match her outfit, she looked ever the superstar while shielding her eyes with a pair of black sunglasses.

While Jesy left her brunette locks to fall in a soft curl and added a glamorous palette of makeup with a baby pink lipstick.

Zion, who is also a singer, matched his girlfriend’s vibe with a statement oversized gold jacket with an eye-catching print.

He opted for baggy black trousers and a white T-shirt underneath, pulling a beanie over his head.

The couple, who are thought to have began dating earlier this year, appeared in high spirits for the appearance.

Friday marked the day that Jesy made her epic return with her second solo single, after she released Boyz with Nicki Minaj in October 2021 following her split from Little Mix.

But fans were left very surprised after hearing her voice sounding strikingly different from her Little Mix popstar days in the slow and emotional ballad.

Her new track couldn’t be further away from her divisive first solo R&B single Boyz, which also featured Nicki Minaj and was released in October 2021.

Going in a very different direction for her second single, Jesy showed off her vocal range as she sang about a toxic ex-boyfriend in the powerful song.

An accompanying music video, set in the 1960s, was also released and saw Jesy work with Women’s Aid to charter the highs of lows of a toxic relationship.

Directed by Charlie Sarsfield, Jesy cried real tears after her onscreen boyfriend (played by Sid Ellisdon) grabbed her by the throat and shouted at her.

The video documents Jesy’s onscreen partner battling infidelity, being in with the wrong crowd and drugs in London’s East End in the sixties, while she struggled to leave as he consoled her after their explosive argument.

Viewers watching the video, which went live on Friday, said the storyline was so compelling they cried.

One fan wrote: ‘ The music video to Jesy Nelson’s Bad Thing is so good I cried.’

‘They did an amazing job! it’s very powerful,’ another said.

A different viewer wrote: ‘Bad Thing by Jesy Nelson is a bop,’ while another typed: ‘Did she actually cry here? I know she has been affected by this in real life but damn. Also I can’t watch this part without feeling uncomfortable it’s too realistic. Glad they gave the TW at the beginning.’
