A JetBlue flight that was set to fly from New York City to Palm Beach, Florida on Monday had to make an abrupt emergency landing in North Carolina.
Flight 461 took off from LaGuardia Airport at 7:30 a.m., however two hours into the flight the pilot reported smoke on the plane.
The company released a statement explaining that the commercial jet had to make the emergency landing in Raleigh-Durham International Airport due to mechanical issues.

Tracking service Flightaware identified the jet as an Airbus A320, which JetBlue notes on its website has about 160 seats.
Flightaware says the plane landed at 9:15 a.m. in North Carolina. The plane was scheduled to land in Florida at 10:20 a.m. but is now estimated to arrive at 5:02 p.m.
Wake County EMS spokesman Jeffrey Hammerstein said six people were evaluated at the scene by medics and two other passengers were taken to a hospital.
He said there were no life-threatening injuries, however there were some passengers who complained of headaches or a burning sensation in their eyes.
The JetBlue flight status says that flight 461 is currently enroute to its final destination in Florida.
