Jewish families claims responsibility for beaming images of Israeli children and grandparents held hostage by Hamas on the side of the UN HQ in New York: ‘Bring back our families!’

Jewish families claims responsibility for beaming images of Israeli children and grandparents held hostage by Hamas on the side of the UN HQ in New York: ‘Bring back our families!’

A group of Israeli-Americans have owned up to projecting images of Hamas kidnapping victims on the United Nations building in New York City.

On Thursday, a giant unsolicited display appeared on the midtown building condemning the terror attack in Israel and flashed images of those taken hostage.

‘Hamas kidnapped babies, children, elderly people. Those are real people with names and families,’ Or Waknin, the leader of the group, told the New York Post.

‘And seeing the pictures of them on the UN building, people look at it, and it starts to hit them, and they realize it could have been their grandma and their kids and someone from their families.’

It is still unknown exactly how many people are missing or being held hostage by terrorists in Gaza. More than 150 have been taken, on Thursday Israel confirmed the identities of 97 hostages.

‘The atrocities that are happening in Israel are worse than what the Nazis did to Jews,’ Waknin said.

‘We’re talking about raping women and tying up children in cages and beheading babies. Those are things that are inhumane. Nothing that can be more cruel than that.’

The projection said: ‘All nations are united. Abducting Israeli civilians is a crime against humanity. Bring them home now!’

Followed by photos of people who have gone missing, including four-year-old Ariel and nine-month-old Kfir Bibas.

The children were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from their home close to the Gaza border.

Harrowing video shows their mother Shiri clinging onto her two sons before the terrorists drag the screaming family from their home in the Nir Oz Kibbutz.

‘There’s a lot of misinformation justifying what happened,’ Waknin said.

‘I’ve heard many people arguing on TV networks that the cruelty being shown by Hamas to babies, children and the elderly, is Israel’s fault.’

The organizers said they only used images of victims whose families gave them permission to do so.

Hamas terrorists killed 1,400 Israelis in a surprise attack last Saturday and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to ‘demolish Hamas’ in an expected invasion.

Dozen of children have been taken hostage. A terrified mother shared images of her two daughters being held captive.

Maayan Zin, mother to 8-year-old Ella and 15-year-old sister Dafna, revealed a photo the two girls together sitting on the floor on low mattresses that was sent to her by a Gaza news site.

Brother and sister Erez and Sahar Calderon were taken prisoner in Nir Oz, a kibbutz next to Gaza where they lived. A video on social media appeared to show 12-year-old Erez being taken by gunmen towards Gaza, and the family also fear for the children’s 80-year-old relative Carmella, who was taken without her medication.

Yaffa Adar, 85, was abducted from Israel and taken into Gaza on a golf cart.

Noa Argamani, 25, was kidnapped as a video showed her sitting on the back of a militant’s motorcycle, with her outstretched arms pointing towards her helpless boyfriend, pleading for her life.
