Jimmy Fallon shares a snap of him meeting Pope Francis during his family’s summer vacation in Italy

Jimmy Fallon is wishing a fond farewell to the summer months by sharing a photo dump from his Italian holiday… where he got to meet Pope Francis.

The 49-year-old comedian took to Instagram on Thursday, where he bid a fond farewell to the summer of 2024 with snaps of his family vacation.

He also shared 15 snaps with his 27.2 million followers, in a post captioned, ‘Arrivederci, summer 2024,’ with the hashtag, #photodump.

The post comes just weeks after The Tonight Show host mocked Australian breakdancer Raygun just after the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The first image featured the comedian alongside his wife of 17 years Nancy Juvonen and their two daughters, Winnie, 11, and Frances, 9.

The happy family is standing on a dock off of an Italian lake or river that is not identified in the post.

The next snap shows Fallon clearly thrilled to meet Pope Francis, who is seen shaking hands with the late-night talk show host.

He also shared paintings from an Italian museum, another of the host holding a huge gelato cone, a snap of his dish from Armando Al Patheon in Rome.

Fallon also shared a selfie of him overlooking the iconic Colosseum and another of him near a sheep farm.

He also shared some snaps from France, including a coffee shop called Cafe de Flore in Paris, and their beverage that resembles Fallon.

The final two snaps are one of him at a desk working alongside NBC’s Mike Tirico during the 2024 Paris Olympics and one of the Eiffel Tower.

Just before The Tonight Show went on hiatus in lieu of NBC’s expansive coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Fallon celebrated a big milestone.

The talk show host celebrated his 2000th show, which he addressed in his monologue back in late July.

‘I received an email from NBC today that said, “Congrats on 2000 shows! You’ve just unlocked a free one month subscription to Peacock,”‘ Fallon joked.

A screenshot of the email was shown to the audience and Fallon continued, ‘I just want to give a big thank you to everyone for watching, or for at least falling asleep during Chicago P.D. and keeping your TV turned on.’

‘It counts. It means a lot,’ the host expressed, while saying, ‘There are two things keeping me going, night after night.’

‘Entertaining millions of people around the world, and cheap applause from the best live audience we’ve ever had!’ Jimmy said, causing the crowd to cheer in their seats.

‘But you guys have been with me through so much, like back in 2019 when I tried bangs,’ he said, while an image of him with short, straight bangs appeared on the screen.
