The 49ers and Garoppolo have dealt with months of trade speculation, especially after head coach Kyle Shanahan second-year quarterback Trey Lance the starter for the 2022 season.
Garoppolo however spent the offseason recovering from a shoulder surgery which clouded the possibility of any possible trade.
