Saints tight end Jimmy Graham had a strong first-half showing on Sunday night following his legal troubles earlier this month.

Graham, 36, was arrested on August 18 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance after cops found him wandering in traffic, TMZ first reported.

The Saints told Mail Sport that a ‘medical episode’ led to Graham’s arrest, with a doctor determining the five-time Pro Bowler had a ‘likely seizure.’

And after he returned to practice last week, Graham rolled back the years vs. the Texans as he caught three balls for 34 yards and a touchdown.

The tight end showed off his athleticism with a leaping 25-yard catch in the first quarter before hauling in a three-yard score from Jameis Winston early in the second quarter.

The touchdown was Graham’s first in Saints colors since 2014, and helped tie the game at 7-7 before the Texans took a 10-7 lead into halftime.

He rejoined the franchise – which drafted him in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft – last month.

Earlier this month, TMZ reported that Graham was found acting erratically near a southern California resort.

It is claimed that he resisted arrest when police tried to cuff him, and he was eventually booked on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, as well as resisting, delaying and obstructing a police officer.

In a statement to Mail Sport on Saturday, the Saints said Graham ‘experienced a medical episode… which resulted in him becoming disorientated.’

It continued: ‘He was taken into custody by local authorities and transported to a local hospital for evaluation for what Dr. John Amoss believes to be a likely seizure and spent the night under medical supervision and testing.

‘Amoss met Graham at the hospital and is overseeing his care at this time. He was released this morning and is with the team as they continue preparations for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.’

Graham is guaranteed $1.2million from the Saints this season, so he seems a likely bet to make the team’s final 53-man roster.
