Jock Zonfrillo’s widow Lauren Fried has paid a moving tribute to the late MasterChef Australia judge’s close friend Jimmy Barnes amid his ongoing health battle.
Lauren shared a sweet throwback photo to Instagram capturing her and Jock dining with Jimmy and his wife Jane, and captioned it with some heartfelt words.
‘You find people in your life that you were just meant to stumble upon. Our two Scotsmen found each other, they were like brothers,’ she began.
‘Jimmy is so impossibly strong – I would say unbreakable – and that’s one of the main reasons he’s pushed through the last few weeks like the extraordinary man he is.
‘I can’t even start to list off everything Jimmy and Jane, their kids, their family, and their friends have all done for the kids and I this year.

The Barnes family were quick to comment their support.
‘I miss him so much,’ Jimmy wrote and his wife Jane added: ‘We laughed a lot together’.
Lauren said the two Scotsmen were ‘like brothers’ and thanked the Barnes family for helping her through some difficult times after Jock died on April 30

The families are united in hardship as Jock tragically died on April 30 while Jimmy was recently admitted to the hospital amid an ongoing health battle.
The singer was recently rushed to ER following complications from bacterial pneumonia, but it appears he will make a full recovery soon.
Jimmy informed his followers on Wednesday he was undergoing open heart surgery after a bacterial infection spread to his heart.

Following the procedure, the Scottish-born Aussie took to Instagram to let his followers know he is healthy, happy and likely to make a full recovery.
Late last month, Jimmy was forced to cancel his headlining appearance at Rock the Boat cruise festival in Noumea, New Caledonia, after being hospitalised with bacterial pneumonia.
He then had to pull out of his scheduled performance at By The C in Torquay on December 2 after his condition failed to improve.
Jimmy has a string of sold-out headlining gigs booked for January and February, including multiple shows at the Red Hot Summer Tour festival.
