Jock Zonfrillo’s widow Lauren shares heartwarming footage of late chef enjoying ‘perfect day’ with Andy Allen

Jock Zonfrillo’s wife Lauren (née Fried) shared a heartwarming video of the late celebrity chef spending a day in with co-star Andy Allen and his family.

The mourning widow, 46, shared footage of the ‘perfect day’ to Instagram on Monday alongside a moving message.

In the home video, which was filmed late last year, the MasterChef stars appeared in their element as they cooked up some cacciatore salami.

‘We have lots of home videos of Jock and Andy Allen cooking together – this one was the boys making cacciatore for Andy and Alex’s wedding,’ Lauren wrote.

‘These laid back versions of the boys are the best – slippers on, kids playing in the background, negroni nearby, Alex Allen re-organising our pantry.’

Lauren finished off the bittersweet message with: ‘Perfect day spent with the Allens.’

Jock, who died aged 46, seemed utterly content in the video as he and his mate Andy, 35, took control of the kitchen while the kids ran around and Lauren filmed.

They started by cutting up and mincing some meat before mixing it together with herbs and pulling out the meat grinder to make the salami.

At one point, Jock’s son Alfie, six, hopped onto a chair to watch his dad who tried to coax the young tot into ribbing his mate over his cooking skills.

By the end of the video, Jock and Andy proudly held up their racks of sausages as they explained the delicacies would be hung up for three weeks before eating.

‘They’re going to be great. I love them,’ Jock said as Andy revealed it was his first time making salami.

Jock was found dead on April 30 in his Carlton hotel after police were called in to do a welfare check on him.
