Jodi Anasta’s meltdown: Fears for Neighbours star after she is ‘forced on leave’

Inside Jodi Anasta’s personal crisis: ‘Fears’ for Neighbours star as she is forced on leave for three weeks due to exhaustion ‘after an on-set meltdown’

Jodi Anasta sparked fears for her well-being on Friday, after Neighbours executives told her to take ‘a three-week break’ from the show due to ‘exhaustion’.

And according to this week’s Woman’s Day, those close to the actress are concerned for her following after a series of on-set ‘meltdowns’.

The magazine alleges that Jodi’s busy schedule and duties as a single mother to daughter Aleeia, five, have caused her to run out of steam.

‘She’s really emotional and has walked off set crying a number of times just over little things and out of frustration,’ one co-star told the publication, adding that the cast and crew of Neighbours have been worried about Jodi for ‘weeks’.

‘I really do believe she’s going through a bit of a personal crisis at the moment’, the co-star added.

The magazine also claimed that Jodi, who has starred on the soap for three years in the role of Elly Conway, has been struggling to come to terms with the recent stagnation of her acting career.

‘Jodi thought getting the role on Neighbours would lead to a resurgence in her career and perhaps be a springboard into getting work in movies, but that hasn’t happened,’ one friend allegedly told the publication.

Meanwhile, Woman’s Day claim Jodi is feeling lonely following a string of failed romances- especially given her ex-husband Braith has found new love with fiancée Rachael Lee.

It comes after Jodi’s manager Sean Anderson claimed Jodi’s sudden hiatus from Neighbours was prompted by ‘exhaustion’.

‘She’s just having a rest. She’s exhausted so she’s taking three weeks off,’ Mr Anderson told The Herald Sun last Friday after Channel Ten announced her three-week filming break.

‘She’s living between two cities, she’s also a single mum and there are challenges that come with it.’

Anderson went on to deny that the star had been forgetting her lines and late to set in recent weeks.

The break comes after Jodi discussed the difficulty of splitting her time between Melbourne and Sydney.

In March, she told the The Daily Telegraph how much she misses daughter Aleeia, five, when she’s away at work.

Aleeia is co-parented by her mother and father, Braith Anasta, who she lives with in Sydney. The former couple split in December 2015.

Jodi told the publication that she’s made it a rule to never be apart from their daughter for more than 10 days, so she was a little jittery about going to US music festival Coachella in April.

‘I’ve never gone away from her for more than seven days,’ Jodi said.

‘It doesn’t matter what I’m doing, when I miss Aleeia I’m not enjoying myself.’
