Jodie Kidd ditches the designer dresses in favour of floral vintage glamour as she joins Rowan Atkinson at period themed Goodwood Revival

Jodie Kidd and Rowan Atkinson joined a host of celebrities in West Sussex on Friday as the Goodwood Revival got underway.

The pair were in attendance as car enthusiasts converged on the historic race meeting, the only sporting event of its kind to be staged entirely in a period theme.

With 1940s, ’50s and ’60s period fashion the order of the day, Jodie, 43, caught the eye in a vintage floral dress and strappy heels as she made her way inside.

She added to the look with a distinctive back-combed bouffant entirely in keeping with the event’s historic theme, while heavily applied lipstick rounded things off.

Joining the model, Blackadder and Mr. Bean star Rowan, 67, appeared to make the most of the two-day event, which concludes on Sunday, after climbing behind the wheel of a car.

Other celebrity guests in attendance at Goodwood included DJ and presenter Chris Evans, a self-confessed car obsessive and regular contributor to the annual racing extravaganza.

The Goodwood Revival is held as a celebration of craftsmanship and sustainability, from an age when cars were made to last and be cherished, while also promoting craftsmanship and sustainability.

Preparations are now well in train for next year’s Goodwood events which mark three significant milestones; the 30th anniversary of the Festival of Speed, the 25th anniversary of the Revival, and 75 years of motorsport at Goodwood since 1948.

For this month’s Festival of Speed, highlights include visiting car firm stands with the latest models, watching cars race up the hill and drive off-road, visiting the Supercar Paddock, and ‘Electric Avenue: The Road To 2030’ with experts from BP Pulse and the AA.

Goodwood Revival will run across the weekend at Goodwood Estate in Chichester.
