Joe Gomez has not travelled with the Liverpool squad to Ipswich today as the defender is considering his options.
The 27-year-old is open to a new challenge in his quest for regular first-team football, with strong competition from the likes of Jarell Quansah and Ibrahima Konate.
He saw a potential £45million move to Newcastle United fall through last month as part of negotiations around the deal for Anthony Gordon.
Gomez signed for Liverpool from Charlton in 2015 for a fee of £3.5million and has since made 248 appearances.
In that time he has won football’s top club honours including the Champions League and the Premier League and has also broken into the England set-up, making 15 outings but never establishing himself as a regular.
