Joe Pasquale’s body transformation leaves fans ‘drooling’ as the comedian admits he decided to lose weight after someone called him ‘portly’

Joe Pasquale unveiled his body transformation on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain after losing more than two stone.

The comedian, 58, left fans ‘drooling’ as he showed off his ripped physique in a snap  shared on the ITV chat show.

Joe, who admitted he decided to lose weight after someone called him ‘portly’, looked incredible in the photo as he displayed his six pack.

Talking to hosts Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh, the actor said he was inspired to shape up after appearing on The Real Full Monty.

Joe said: ‘It was because of The Real Full Monty. I saw one review which compared me to a portly Frank Spencer. Portly? I can’t be portly!’

The chat show then flashed an image of his body transformation, which Richard and Ranvir were left stunned over his six pack.

To which Joe joked: ‘A six pack? It’s more of a party of seven!’

The comedian went on to reveal how he keeps in shape, he continued: ‘I do a little bit of weights, but I box a lot. I get beat up a lot!’

With a still stunned Richard joking: ‘I never thought you had it in you, you look amazing!’

Joe went on to reveal that he has cut back on his diet, adding: ‘I was heavily into wine gums, but I’ve knocked that on the head now. I’ve cut it right down.

‘If I’m going on telly and getting my kit off, I don’t want to look fat, especially as I was standing next to Ashley Banjo with nothing on, you wanna look your best. Everything is on the internet these days.’

Fans were left gobsmacked over the transformation as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts over Joe’s weight loss.

One person said: ‘Oh My Word I’m drooling over Joe Pasquale. Who’d have thought it #GMB.’

A different user put: ‘Jesus H Christ anyone see the shape of Joe Pasquale on Good Morning Britain, fair play #JoePasquale #goodmorningbritain.’ 

Another follower commented: ‘Good on him!’

While a different account added: ‘Was really great to see Jo looking so well at 57, and a pilots license as well.’ 

Joe previously spoke about his weight loss over the summer on Loose Women, he even joked that he was ‘turning into Tom Hardy’ after getting some new tattoos to go with his taut physique.

The star also told the panel that he decided to shift the pounds are taking part in The Real Full Monty in May, and said the secret to his success came from ‘not eating chips’ and visiting the gym six times a week.

The presenter said: ‘It’s not eating wine gums. I’m not eating chips. I go to the gym six days a week for an hour a day.’

Joe also confirmed that he took part in the Ant Middleton series Mind Over Muscle, adding: ‘It killed me. I couldn’t walk for a week. But it was worth it, it was great.’

The comedian is currently starring as Frank Spencer in the theatre tour of Some Mothers Do ‘Av ‘Em.
