Joe Rogan clarifies his alien abduction theory to Matt Rife: ‘It feels real, because it is real’

  • The podcaster, 56, discussed it with Matt Rife, 28, on The Joe Rogan Experience
  • He claims that alien abductions take place at night when people sleep
  • The comedian believes psychedelic chemicals also play a part in the experience

Podcaster Joe Rogan is once again discussing extraterrestrial life, and has clarified his theory on alien abduction during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.

The 56-year-old speculated with comedian Matt Rife, 28, on the September 12 episode.

Rogan said: ‘It always happens at night, and it always happens during periods where people sleep.

‘Most of the stories I’ve ever heard are people in their bed – they can’t move… or they’re in a car, the car stops, they wake up – aliens abducted them.’

Rogan also believe the ‘psychedelic chemicals’ in our brains play a role. It comes as UFO investigators made a bizarre presentation of two ‘alien’ bodies to an astonished Mexican congress.

Rogan states: ‘When you go to sleep and you dream, there are psychedelic chemicals that your brain makes.’

He explained: ‘We don’t know how much they’re making, we don’t know what effect that’s having on your dreams, we don’t know what is going on.’

Psychedelics are substances that produce changes in perception, mood and cognitive processes.

They can affect senses, alter thinking, and can cause a person to hallucinate – seeing or hearing things that do not exist or are distorted.

‘You’re lying in bed and you’re having an insanely vivid and terrifying interaction with aliens every night – because your brain is just dumping psychedelics into you,’ said Rogan.

He added: ‘Maybe psychedelics are a gateway to some other reality – some other dimension that’s accessible by these creatures.’

Rife described the explanation as ‘constant paranoia,’ and admitted to liking the theory of psychedelics being a gateway into another reality or dimension.

'It feels real, because it is real,' says Rogan

‘It feels real, because it is real,’ says Rogan

‘It feels real, because it is real,’ Rogan continued.

‘And it might be that there’s a chemical gateway in your mind that when breached, you enter into a dimension where physical bodies don’t exist anymore, and everything moves in this constant soup of geometric patterns.’

Rife added: ‘I imagine that’s probably what happens at death,’ to which Rogan agreed.

‘A lot of the old depictions of what happens when you enter into a psychedelics state… that you’re interacting with Souls that are like completely unattached to a physical presence,’ Rogan responded.

The Souls that Rogan is referring to are from the Well of Souls – derived from a medieval Islamic legend that the spirits of the dead can be heard awaiting Judgment Day.

The podcaster chuckled: ‘Maybe you’re getting layers and layers of that depending upon how f***** up you are where you are sleeping.’

‘Maybe some of those layers are “boom” – aliens in the room with you.’
