John Cena has been sporting some seriously odd outfits while shooting his new comedy movie Ricky Stanicky in Melbourne.

And the WWE superstar-turned-actor, 45, donned funky footwear as he filmed scenes in the suburb of Surrey Hills on Tuesday.

He wore a white shirt, taupe trousers and brown crocodile-skin shoes as he arrived on set.

He was seen alongside his co-stars William H, Macy, who is best known for playing Frank Gallagher in Shameless, and comedian Andrew Santino.

William wore a white shirt and navy jacket, and Santino opted for a white shirt and black kippah.

Hollywood heart-throb Zac Efron was not seen on set, despite being involved in the Peter Farrelly-directed film.

The actors and crew have been seen filming the movie in different locations across Melbourne in recent weeks.

Last Thursday, muscle-bound John was seen fully embracing his feminine side by wearing thigh-high stockings and a plaid mini skirt.

He completed his look with lace-up heeled booties as he stepped into his trailer.

Fans can certainly expect some gross-out humor from director Farrelly, who is known for his work with brother Bobby as the Farrelly brothers.

The quirky premise of the movie centres around John’s character Ricky Stanicky, who is actually the name of an imaginary friend invented by three pals over the years so they have someone to blame for their misbehaviour.

However, when their partners become suspicious, they are forced to hire a washed-up actor to bring Stanicky to life.
