John Mulaney goes gaga for son Malcolm’s giggles as they enjoy a day at the beach with his partner Olivia Munn in sweet video

John Mulaney was gaga over his son’s giggles in a sweet video posted on social media Friday.

The comic, 40, who was spotted on a rare date night with partner Olivia Munn in Los Angeles recently, seemed happy as a clam during a family beach outing.

The almost two-year-old was sitting on his dad’s shoulders and laughing uncontrollably as his father asked ‘Happy? Slap happy?’

Olivia, 43, added to the adorable moment writing, ‘His squeal at the end.’

Although she wasn’t seen in the clip, she appeared to be filming, and her laughter could be heard overlapping with John and Malcolm’s.

John has come a long way since the intervention and treatment that helped him enter into recovery from his drug addiction.

The funnyman used his pain from the experience to produce laughs in his Netflix special Baby J.

The standup show received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Variety Special and Outstanding Writing in a Variety Special.

The Bear actor opened up about fatherhood and just who’s the boss at his house in an interview on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast.

‘I used to spin out about so many things and I used to want to be so clever and wanted to be this curated little pr*** and I now have nothing in my head except, “Yeah, Malcolm do that. Oh yeah, right. Baseball,”‘ he explained.

The Big Mouth star then described the tyke’s night time ritual.

‘Every night when he goes to bed I go, “What time are you going to wake up?” And he goes, “seven,” and we both laugh. And we say “Deal,” and we shake.’

Unfortunately, Malcolm’s inner clock is in a different time zone than his parents’ and waves up about two hours before that.

‘This happened two Wednesdays ago. He goes, “Baseball!” Immediately I go, “You wanna play?” He goes, “Game.”‘

‘Now he and I are in the front yard, 5:10 a.m. In pajamas and jackets. And I take the ball and I put in on the tee. And he’s holding a wiffle ball bat and he goes, “Two bats.” So I hand him another bat and now he has two,’ he explained.

“And I put the ball on and he goes, “Dada do it,” and I go, “Dada do it.” And I smack that wiffle ball so far. And he goes, “Yeah, good job!” I go, “Yeah, good job.”

‘I put a ball on for him,’ he continued, ‘and I go, “Malcolm do that?” And he goes, “Malcolm do that.” He hits the ball, which means he hits his hand holding the bat against the tee and the ball falls off. Sure. And I go, “Yeah, good job,” and he goes, “Yeah, good job. Malcolm good job.”‘

The doting dad described their antics as ‘we’re just two morons at five in the morning, the floodlights, Ring camera lights are going off it’s so early.’
