John Mulaney wishes girlfriend Olivia Munn a happy 43rd birthday

John Mulaney, 40, posted a loving birthday tribute for his girlfriend, Olivia Munn, who turned 43-years-old on Wednesday.

The star included a rare comment on their life as parents.

‘Thank you for another year of laughing like dummies, parenting like teenagers, and always looking for your glasses,’ the Chicago-born comedian wrote in the caption of a photo of him with Olivia and their son Malcolm, aged one.

‘(They are in your lap),’ the funnyman joked, adding, ‘Happy birthday my girl.’

Olivia’s birthday tribute photo featured the family posing together in front of a picturesque lake surrounded by sky-high mountains.

The couple have been together since May 2021.

The start of Olivia and John’s relationship wasn’t immune from controversy.

May 2021 happened to be the same month that the Big Mouth star announced his split from his wife Anna Marie Tendler.

Four months after the SNL writer’s romance with the X-Men: Apocalypse star was confirmed, the couple had another major announcement — Olivia was expecting their first child together.

The Spider Man: Into The Spiderverse’s relationship whiplash from Annamarie to Olivia inspired the viral term, ‘Wife guy.’

After all, the standup comedian typically centered his standup routines around how much he adored his wife Anna.

The highly-publicized divorce sparked a conversation about parasocial relationships fans have with celebrities, given the fan backlash to John filing for divorce from his wife of eight years.

Anna herself revealed to Harper’s Bazaar that the end of her marriage was, ‘totally shocking and I think surreal.’

Meanwhile, the Mulaney star, who once proclaimed that he and his ex-wife didn’t want kids, declared on an appearance on the Late Night With Seth Meyers show that, ‘Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself,’ referring to his battles with addiction and subsequent trips to rehab.

The Emmy Award winner made no secret about how much he adored his son during an episode of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, according to E!Online.

‘When I’m out with him, I’m like, “Oh, the world’s great,” cause I’m seeing it through his eyes,’ the Netflix standup star said.

He praised his baby son’s zest for life, adding, ‘Malcolm will lay on his back on a blanket in the backyard and just kick his arms and legs squealing ’cause he sees the trees in the sky.’

The Portlandia star gushed about how much he loved his child, but also how he was simply ‘fascinated’ by his offspring.

‘I love watching him see the world, and seeing what sounds, images, lights, volume levels make him laugh,’ the Human Resources actor added.
