Aussie Home Loans boss John Symond and his wife Amber McDonald have decided to split their time between the couple’s waterfront Sydney mansion, $75 million superyacht and new London penthouse.
Despite placing his $100 million Potts Point up for sale last year, the 70-year-old decided to pull the 2700-square-metre property off the market, Daily Mail Australia has been told.
Mr Symond instead decided to add to his property portfolio, snapping up a home in Knightsbridge, an affluent London area where the iconic Harrods is located.
He also treated himself to a 10-metre superyacht for his 70th birthday in September and promptly threw himself a three-day, $7 million celebration.
The couple were rumoured to be looking at moving to London full-time, but Daily Mail has learned Mr Symond and Ms McDonald, 45, who he wed in 2016, will travel across the globe throughout the year.

The couple, joined by Ms McDonald’s two children from her previous marriage to Prime Minister Paul Keating’s son, Patrick, have spent the last 10 weeks relaxing on the vessel in the Mediterranean.
The family were photographed just off the coast of Portofino, Italy, over the weekend.
Mr Symond and his 45-year-old wife appeared to be deep in conversation while cruising the picturesque coastline.
The couple could be seen lying on a white couch covered in pillows before standing at the yacht’s railing to snap images of the view on their phones.
Ms McDonald was later seen taking a dip in a glass pool as her young daughter relaxed nearby.
It boasts an eight-metre swimming pool with waterfall, a three-metre jacuzzi and a ‘beach club’.

Mr Symond bought his 2,700sqm Potts Point property in 1999 for just $10.89 million and promptly spent $50 million constructing a home with 90metres of water frontage, according toDomain.
The property has entertainment areas that can hold up to 400 guests, two swimming pools, a gym, library, home theatre and 24 bathrooms.
It also has a private area for Mr Symond and staff quarters.
