She set tongues wagging when she sported an intriguing assortment of rings on her right hands at an engagement last month.
And Meghan has attracted the attention of royal watchers once again this week after wearing an unusual arrangement of jewellery on her middle, index and fourth fingers on a visit to Edinburgh.
While most brides-to-be are content with showing off their engagement sparkler, Prince Harry’s glamorous fiancée sported no less than four bands on various fingers – two of which were festooned with dazzling diamonds.
She also removed her thumb ring this time, and this ‘rearrangement’ speaks volumes about Ms. Markle’s state of mind according to Johnny Fincham, author of the bestselling book on hand reading, Palmistry: Apprentice To Pro In 24 Hours.
Meghan’s rings decoded: Ms. Markle Meghan has sent tongues wagging once again after sporting a series of jewellery on her on her middle, index and fourth fingers this week
For her first official visit to Scotland, Meghan wore two thin gold bands, with the addition of two diamond-studded rings from Birks worth an eye-watering £5,800 alone.
So what does Meghan’s jewellery tell us about the royal-in-waiting?
A ring on her middle finger points to loyalty and commitment
‘The middle digit is known as the “wall” finger,’ notes Johnny (johnnyfincham.com). Its ruler is Saturn and it is very much the digit of family, security, values and all the issues that make for boundaries, restrictions, duty and loyalty.
‘Clearly, Meghan’s approach to joining the royal family is that she’s all in, pitching everything on making a solid commitment, wanting to define herself with a clear role, and psychologically this shows that she yearns for stability and clarity in how she is defined.
‘It would infer her life has been pretty chaotic in terms of parental boundaries, stability and security. This new arrangement of rings is a sign that she is expecting to become more solid, stable and fixed in terms of work, station and role.’
… and the stones signal a love of opulence
‘The arrangement of the stones in her choice of rings is fascinating in that a range of stones in offset settings on one ring shows the expectation of change, excitement, passion and a working life of endless variety.

During during Meghan’s second official engagement in January, the most striking adornment was undoubtedly her thumb ring – suggesting a ‘controlling’ wife according to Johnny Fincham
‘The other ring, with a line of large stones in a fixed, level setting is expecting a lot in terms of reward, material possessions, and high value placed on opulence.’
Two rings on one finger suggest ‘high expectations’
‘Both rings on the same digit is not good. To wear both, shows her expectations are way too high, she’s child like in putting everything into a magical, rich and dazzling role in life.’
The palms have it! ‘Dull’ royal rota may grind Meghan down
‘The fact that she has a simian line (one single line across her palm rather than two lines as 99 per cent of us) means she will always be a child with a relentless drive to charm and seduce her way to security, but the dull, endless rota of royal engagements will soon wear her down.
‘She will rebel very quickly and insist on a much more wayward, colourful and creative role than that which royals traditionally endure.’
