Jon Hamm will play a hedge fund manager-turned-burglar in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Your Friends And Neighbors

Jon Hamm will be making his return as a leading man in a television show in the upcoming drama series Your Friends And Neighbors.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 52-year-old performer will both star in and serve as an executive producer for the project, which is set to stream on the Apple TV+ service.

The series will see the actor —who was recently spotted in the company of his wife Anna Osceola during a Saturday Night Live afterparty — portraying Coop, a former hedge fund manager dealing with both a divorce and the loss of his job.

Hamm’s character then begins burglarizing the homes of the wealthy residents of his Upstate New York hometown in order to keep his family afloat.

Although Coop begins to develop an affinity for his new activities, he soon finds himself in a predicament after he breaks into a dangerous individual’s residence.

Your Friends And Neighbors is based on an original idea from Jonathan Tropper.

The entertainment industry figure will also serve as the upcoming project’s showrunner and as one of its executive producers.

Your Friends And Neighbors’ prospective release date has not been revealed publicly as of yet.

Hamm starred in a tongue-in-cheek ad for Apple TV+ that was released last year, in which he jokingly called out the streaming service for not allowing him to star in his own show.

During the advertisement, the performer appeared to complain to Tom Hanks about his predicament, and he also spoke about leading the cast of Ted Lasso.

The actor has since been featured in The Morning Show’s third season, which debuted earlier this year.

Although Hamm has appeared in supporting roles in various television shows over the past few years, he received much notice for starring as Don Draper in Mad Men.

The AMC program, which was set in the 1960s, was centered on the members of a Manhattan-based advertising firm.
