Jonah Hill reveals his heavily tattooed body after losing 40Ibs in weight… before plunging into the water during awkward surf in Los Angeles

Jonah Hill showed off his heavily tattooed body in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning, shortly before adjusting to his new surfboard. 

The Superbad actor, who lost 40lbs in 2018, enjoyed himself during a surf at El Porto in Manhattan Beach, just south of the southern California city.  

And Hill, 37, revealed the many tattoos covering both his arms while pulling on his wetsuit after arriving at the picturesque coastal spot.

The star was later seen falling off his new board and taking a plunge in the frigid water during what appeared to be a rather awkward surf. 

Hill was spotted wearing an all-black wetsuit to keep his body temperature regulated as he spent time in the ocean.

His dyed blonde hair prominently stood out from his athletic gear.

The Get Him To The Greek actor was also seen riding a bright red surfboard that he recently purchased.

The director first took up surfing in 2019, and he has since been spotted heading into the waves at various spots around the Los Angeles area.

Two years ago, Hill made a post to his Instagram account to commemorate one of his first surf sessions, which he shared with his This Is The End costar James Franco.

The actor also wrote a message in the post’s caption to let his 2.1 million followers know how he felt about getting on a surfboard for the first time.

‘Been terrified to surf my whole life . Totally random fear and at the same time always been a secret dream of mine,’ he wrote.

The actor added, ‘Turned out to be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had. Not only was it so fun and challenging but more so I’m like “damn, at 35 you can start doing s*** you’ve always wanted to do.”‘

In November of last year, Hill shared another photo that had been taken at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California.

The actor also included a duo of videos in the post, both showing him riding on artificially produced waves.

The Mid90s director wrote a short caption in the post to thank his friends for going out with him and sharing what he referred to as ‘one of the best days of my life.

Hill made a point of expressing that taking up surfing has ‘been one of the most positive additions to my life.’
