‘He’s done nothing wrong’: Creed III star Jonathan Majors’ reps DENY he attacked woman as he’s allegedly arrested and charged with ‘strangulation, assault and harassment’ in New York City

Jonathan Majors is denying any wrongdoing after being arrested for reportedly assaulting a woman in New York City.

The Creed III star, 33, was taken into custody on Saturday morning on charges of ‘strangulation, assault and harassment’ as per TMZ.

However his rep has denied the allegations saying, ‘He’s done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.’

The alleged victim, a female, told the police Majors got into an argument with her and proceeded to ‘attack her.’ The nature of their relationship is currently unknown.

According to a source who spoke with the publication the alleged victim had visible injuries on her body, including a ‘laceration behind her ear, redness and marks to her face.’

Following the alleged altercation she was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Meanwhile the actor was cuffed and taken to jail right away, as police ‘felt there was enough evidence for probable cause.’ 

Cops were called to the scene around 11AM, near the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. 

The Santa Barbara born entertainer is reportedly now out of custody. 

Meanwhile the NYPD released a statement to TheWrap that read, ‘A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30 year-old female. The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident.’ 

The news comes on the heels of a number of blockbusters the actor recently starred in, including Creed III opposite Michael B. Jordan, as well as Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. 

The actor was also present at the Oscars earlier this month, and served as one of the many presenters. 

Majors took to the stage with his co-star Michael B. Jordan to present the award for Best Cinematography.
