Love Island star Jonny Mitchell and disgraced comedian Dapper Laughs set tongues wagging with their brazen remarks as they led the male arrivals into the all-female Celebrity Big Brother house on Friday night.
Bad boy Jonny claimed feminism has ‘gone too far’ and suggested a woman can’t be a feminist and also expect a man to ‘pay for her dinner’ – while stand-up comic Daniel O’Reilly said he wasn’t too bothered about public reaction as he’s being ‘paid loads of money’ to appear on the show.
The duo’s contentious remarks threatened to be upstaged however by the spectacular entrance of drag queen Courtney Act, who flashed the nation when her pink sequin skirt slid down in an epic wardrobe malfunction.
Making waves: Love Island star Jonny Mitchell (L) and disgraced comedian Dapper Laughs set tongues wagging with their brazen remarks as they led the male arrivals into the all-female Celebrity Big Brother house on Friday night
The 35-year-old – whose real name is Shane Gilberto Jeneko – squealed in horror as her pink sequin skirt slid down when she tripped over, spectacularly exposing herself to viewers as she strutted into the Borehamwood mansion.
The Australian RuPaul’s Drag Race star screeched ‘I just lost my skirt, My skirt just fell off as I walked down the stairs, everyone saw my bum. It literally fell on the ground!’ as she grappled to preserve her modesty.
Looking breathless as she entered the house, Courtney announced to the all-female cast ‘I can’t believe that just happened’, while her contestants consoled her that no-one saw anything untoward.
Host Emma Willis couldn’t hide her astonishment as she covered her mouth and laughed guiltily to the camera, declaring: ‘O.M.G!’
She added cheekily: ‘There’s plenty more to come but I think we’ve just peaked!’ as she introduced the advert break.
Ok then: Bad boy Jonny claimed feminism has ‘gone too far’ and suggested a woman can’t be a feminist and also expect a man to ‘pay for her dinner’
Wait what? Appearing to backtrack, he added hastily: ‘But I’m a live and let live kind of guy, whatever floats your boat. I’ve got my own views, but I will listen to others’
Controversial: Stand-up comic Daniel O’Reilly said he wasn’t too bothered about public reaction as he’s being ‘paid loads of money’ to appear on the show
Marking a tough act to follow, 26-year-old Jonny still managed to make waves with his entrance interview with Emma.
The ITV2 star, who previously clashed with Love Island favourite Camilla Thurlow over his comments about feminism, once again waded into the grand debate.
He said: ‘In certain situations, potentially it has gone too far. If you’re going to be a feminist, you have to go all in with it. I know some people who claim to be a feminist, but they let other people pay for their dinner.’
Appearing to backtrack, he added hastily: ‘But I’m a live and let live kind of guy, whatever floats your boat. I’ve got my own views, but I will listen to others.’
Shane uses the stage name Courtney Act and is an Australian pop singer, drag queen entertainer and reality star.
The glamourpuss soared to worldwide fame when he was named the runner-up of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2014, behind winner Bianca Del Rio.
Oh dear! The 35-year-old – whose real name is Shane Gilberto Jeneko – squealed in horror as her pink sequin skirt slid down, spectacularly exposing her derriere to the live audience as she walked into the Borehamwood mansion
Oh no: The RuPaul’s Drag Race star screeched: ‘I just lost my skirt, My skirt just fell off as I walked down the stairs, everyone saw my bum. It literally fell on the ground!’ as he grappled to preserve his modesty’
The star is in the UK after performing at G-A-Y on New Year’s Eve with AAA – a drag trio she created with former Drag Race stars Alaska Thunderf**k and Willam. Courtney has a history in the music industry – having appeared on Australian Idol back in 2003.
He was preceded by football legend John Barnes, who was the first male star to enter the mansion.
The Jamaican-born 69-year-old admitted he was very ‘daunted’ about facing the strong cast, but entered the famous Borehamwood mansion with ease.
He told host Emma Willis: ‘The women are a little bit scary. I like strong women, my wife and four daughters are too. It’s the year of the woman. It’s a bit like watching Braveheart and then an Englishman walking in. It’s a bit daunting!’

Check him out: Boyzone heartthrob Shane Lynch, who said he found his respect for women after attending an all-girls’ school, made a confident entrance
He added: ‘I have lots of empathy with women. We know that they have not been represented in too many ways. I hope they’re not too unkind! ‘
And the latest stars tipped for entry in the Borehamwood bolthole are controversial funnyman Dapper Laughs, real name Daniel O’Reilly, and ballet legend Wayne Sleep while Boyzone star Shane Lynch’s rumoured place in the house appeared to be confirmed by his bandmate Ronan Keating, in now-deleted tweets seen by Mirror.
The only confirmed star to enter is footballer John Barnes, however Dapper Laughs’ entry has been revealed by a source, who told The Sun: ‘Dapper Laughs is going to make great TV and he’s definitely going to spice things up. It’s been a pretty bland series so far so they definitely need him in there to ruffle some feathers with the ladies.’
Dapper Laughs shot to fame as a stand-up comedian and pick-up artist, for which he enjoyed widespread success four years ago before he fell from grace spectacularly when he made a joke about an audience member at a stand-up gig ‘gagging for a rape’ while also being accused of misogyny.
After a campaign called for ITV to fire the star, the network announced the plan not to renew his show Dapper Laughs: On The Pull and he later made a sombre appearance on Newsnight in November 2014, in which he said the character had indefinitely retired. He did however resurrect Dapper Laughs a month later.
Meanwhile, Wayne was a Principal Dancer with the Royal Ballet and previously judged ITV show Stepping Out. Keeping his TV quota up, he also appeared on a celebrity edition of The Chase and joined a host of celebrity pensioners to film BBC’s The Real Marigold Hotel.
The ballet legend currently lives in London with his husband José Bergera and identifies as bisexual. Rylan Clark-Neal confirmed on Big Brother’s Little Brother that football legend John will be the first man to enter the house – yet the reel of rumoured cast mates is yet to be confirmed.

Stars joining the former Liverpool player are reportedly set to be Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell, Geordie Shore star Nathan Henry, R&B singer Ginuwine, and Apprentice reject Andrew Brady while it was later revealed that Boyzone star Shane and RuPaul Drag Race star Courtney Act are also tipped for entry.
While there has been no confirmation, Shane’s Boyzone bandmate+ appeared to out his news as he took to Twitter to pen in a now-deleted post: ‘My boy @shanelynchlife stepping into the #BigBrother house tomorrow. He is gonna smash it. Excited for you all to get to see the Shanno we all know and love #honest #loyal #strongheart (sic)’
As the nation marked 100 years since women won the right to vote for the very first time, the latest CBB series was revealed to have an all-female cast of celebrity housemates in the first week, in a salute to a centenary of women’s suffrage.
Here come the boys! Ronan (top, left) seemed to out his pal’s plans to enter the house, as he praised Shane (bottom, left)
Viewers saw the likes of former politician Ann Widdecombe, 70, Boris Johnson’s sister Rachel, Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Malika Haqq enter the famous compound.
All housemates made sure to champion this year’s theme embracing strong women on their arrival, but it all became too much for Malika, 34, who broke down in tears just seconds before making her CBB debut.
The house had only four days of the all-women cast before they were joined by John, as Rylan revealed: ‘As you know, Friday night, the house will receive some gentlemen. Tonight, I can reveal that one of those very men, will be Liverpool legend and rap superstar John Barnes is going in the house!’
Fans await further confirmation with baited breath yet rumours are swirling as it’s claimed Love Island’s divisive star Jonny will be making his return to reality TV following his stint on the ITV dating show in summer.
He became something of a villain during his time in the villa when he was seen to break Camilla Thurlow’s heart after kissing her and then revealing his views on feminism – which she deemed unacceptable.
He’s in! The house will have only four days of the all-women cast before they are joined by John, as Rylan revealed: ‘As you know, Friday night, the house will receive some gentlemen. The bomb disposal expert was left both baffled and unimpressed when Jonny announced that he would “feel emasculated if a girl paid for dinner” before asking her: ‘You’re a feminist aren’t you?’
She queried: ‘Shouldn’t we all be feminists? Surely you believe in equality?’, before he rather awkwardly stated: ‘Feminism believes in almost inequality’. Following the exchange, she went on to break down in tears as she was ‘disgusted’ that she had kissed somebody who shares those political views.
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Courtney, real name Shane Jenek, is reportedly set to enter with sources telling The Sun: ‘Courtney has seen everything as a drag queen so nothing will faze her in the house. She’s a pro who won’t be intimidated by any of the big personalities in there and she won’t back down from a row.’
Meanwhile Andrew starred in this year’s Apprentice, which concluded last month, however he was fired in week eight. Rumours surfaced during the show that he had bedded engaged co-star Anisa Topan, however he dismissed the claims soon after. He has worked previously as a coal miner.
Legendary: John is a football legend since playing for Liverpool – atop roles as a rapper and manager
Ginuwine meanwhile is a R&B icon, who has worked with a host of music legends with his most successful hit being Nineties hit Pony – which later became the soundtrack for Channing Tatum’s film Magic Mike. He has fathered nine children by five different women and previously confessed to being a womaniser.
Ahead of her entry into the house, Malika said of the male arrivals: ‘You put a bunch of women together for a couple of days, we will get sick of each other. The men coming into the house will be an exciting experience.’
Rachel added: ‘I think that the women will be really pleased when the men come in because women adore men and it’s gonna be fun, it’s gonna be more fun. But it will change the whole dynamic, there’s no question.’

While the show only launched on Tuesday night, things have certainly been kicking off between the girls so far – with politician Ann and newsreader India embarking on the first fight on the series, when they disagreed about their sleeping arrangements.
India had claimed a single bed in the main bedroom, but Ann argued it was rightfully hers as it bore a towel with her name on – causing the pair to clash. Viewers immediately slammed the pair as ‘childish’ on Twitter, and some even claimed Ann had ‘flinched when she hugged the transgender star.’
India has been very open about her transition so far, and even admits the surgery was less painful than a trip to the dentist on Thursday night’s show.
India, who was born Jonathan, lived for nearly 50 years with her crippling transgender secret before undergoing a £14,000 gender reassignment in September 2015.

Former self: India, who was born Jonathan (L) lived for nearly 50 years with her crippling transgender secret before undergoing a £14,000 gender reassignment in September 2015
Speaking to housemate Rachel Johnson, the transgender newsreader admitted she didn’t feel ‘any different’ when she woke up from the operation, claiming: ‘It was like having a tooth out, seriously.’
She continued: ‘I’ve had more agony going to the dentist! Everyone says “how did you feel when you woke up? Were you really sore?” But honestly there was no difference whatsoever.
‘I was just relieved that it was all over and done with. Before then I spent every single day – right from being a kid – the first thing when I woke up was in my head, this gender thing. You know that the body didn’t match the brain. It was like this phantom limb.’
Ann Widdecombe was then brought into the conversation as she was asked her views on whether gender reassignment surgery should be NHS funded.

Reasoning: The former politician reasoned: ‘Well, the fact is the NHS cant do everything. Isn’t doing everything. People are going without. You have to decide something, what’s the priority’
Tough start: As a local news reporter for Tyne Tees & Border in the 90s, India found it increasingly hard to live a lie, knowing that she was trapped in the wrong body
The former politician reasoned: ‘Well, the fact is the NHS cant do everything. Isn’t doing everything. People are going without. You have to decide something, what the priority should be.’
As Ashley James piped up: ‘I think its a huge priority if you can now be yourself’, Ann countered: ‘Match that against people going blind… children with cancer – priorities are fine as long as you’re not the one implementing them.’
Elsewhere on the episode Amanda Barrie, who caused a stir with comments about the Harvey Weinstein scandal earlier this week, also admits to engaging in a threesome during a chat with Rachel Johnson.
While talking to Boris Johnson’s sister about the difficulty in bringing her same sex relationship to the forefront, the former Coronation Street actress, 82, confesses to the saucy act, admitting: ‘I’ve had sexual relationships of various sorts. I even had a threesome at one time in my youth.’

Coming clean: The former Coronation Street actress made the confession with talking to Rachel Johnson about the difficulty in bringing her same sex relationship to the forefront
The chat begins when Rachel asks her: ‘Have you led a full life?’, to which Amanda hilariously quipped back: ‘I am worn out and it shows everywhere!’
Offering an example of the difficulties she faced in years gone by, the TV star – who is married to crime novelist Hilary Bonner – reveals: ‘I was so hounded on Coronation Street. They were like the story is going to run on Friday.’
‘If there was a sniff you were having a same sex relationship…. I’ve had sexual relationships of various sorts,’ she admitted, before indulging: ‘I even had a threesome at one time in my youth.’
Rachel goes onto ask: ‘You had a threesome with a man and a woman?’ to which Amanda responds: ‘Yeah, years and years and years ago. It was a very important one!’
Amanda then reflects on her past struggles: ‘I also had a very strange, odd feeling that if you’re living with a lie you can’t be honest with anyone. You edit yourself. You’re always going “edit, edit” when you’re talking. At the time I was living with a female. I just hate the label system at the moment. I hate labels!’
