Conservative author and psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson doubled down on his attack on Elliot Page, claiming Hollywood’s biggest transgender star was ‘converting’ children by posing for pictures with his abs.
Peterson, who was suspended from Twitter after saying Page had his breasts removed by a ‘criminal physician,’ reiterated his statement on Friday and said he needed to speak up following Page’s shirtless show on Esquire’s summer issue last month.
‘See, I would’ve left Ellen Page alone if she hadn’t been parading her new abs in a fashion magazine,’ Peterson told podcaster Kyle Kulinski on his Krystal Kyle & Friends show. ‘How many kids do you think she convinced to convert, one? A Thousand?’
The controversial psychologist also scoffed at his Twitter suspension and continued to refer to Page as female and using his former name, Ellen.
That is a practice referred to by transgender people as ‘dead-naming,’ which many consider offensive.

Kulinski, who said he leans towards the left of the political spectrum, appeared to take issue with Peterson’s claims about Page’s alleged influence on minors.
‘I think that with the trans community, it’s very similar to the gay community where back, when that first became a big issue, people thought, ‘Oh, if we talk about it, if it’s in magazines or whatever, we’re promoting kids to go down that path,’ Kulinski said.
‘But really what happened is people are who they are. They’re gay. So I don’t think you’re promoting people to do that,’
Peterson, getting annoyed, refuted Kulinski’s argument.
‘No, that’s not what happened,’ he said. ‘You’re completely wrong.
‘You’re utterly wrong,’ he then yelled. ‘There’s nothing about that that’s right.’
Peterson brought things back to Canada’s 2017 C-16 bill, which added transgender pronouns into the Canadian Human Rights Act and added the community into a list of identifiable groups that are protected from discrimination.
Peterson had actively opposed the bill and said he would refuse to use trans pronouns, claiming that rather than aiding the transgender community, it would allegedly deteriorate the mental health of others.
‘For every one person we hypothetically save, we doom 1,000 more as a consequence of confusion and social contagion,’ Peterson told Kulinski.
He went onto repeat claims that confused gay kids were supposedly being convinced they’re transgender as the community peoples more visible and talked about.
Peterson reiterated claims that by celebrating Page and his transition from female to male, others would be confused and converted. Pictured: Page on Esquire’s summer magazine

Regarding his Twitter suspension, Peterson said it was barely a punishment.
“Well, I don’t know if it got me in trouble, you know, I don’t think I’m in trouble, Twitter banned me, but I don’t consider that trouble,” Peterson said defiantly.
The tweet was sent by Peterson on June 22, the same day season three of the Netflix show ‘The Umbrella Academy’ was released.
Netflix integrated Page’s transition into the show, changing his character’s name from Vanya to Viktor.
Twitter flagged Peterson’s tweet claiming it ‘violated the Twitter Rules on hateful conduct.
His daughter, Mikhaila, said her father would be off the platform until he deleted the tweet.
Conservative Political Commentator David Rubin commented on the incident on Wednesday.
‘The insanity continues at Twitter. @jordanbpeterson has been suspended for this tweet about Ellen Page. He just told me he will “never” delete the tweet. Paging @elonmusk.’
Rubin and Mikhaila called on Tesla CEO Elon Musk – who had bid $44 billion to take the platform over in efforts to promote free speech.
Musk, said he was terminating his take over on Friday, had appeared to agree that the suspension was unnecessary, writing: ‘Yeah, they’re going way too far in squashing dissenting opinions.’

Page announced his transition in an Instagram post in December 2020.
‘Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life,’ he wrote.
This isn’t the first time Jordan has come under fire for controversial tweets.
Peterson briefly quit Twitter in May after saying a plus-size Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model was ‘not beautiful.’
The cover of the magazine showed Yumi Nu, a 25-year-old curvy model, and the first Asian plus-size model to be featured in Sports Illustrated.
‘Sorry. Not beautiful. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that,’ Peterson wrote.
After receiving backlash, Peterson claimed he deleted Twitter from his devices while his account remained active. It was the second time he had left the platform.
Prior to leaving the platform in May, Peterson had accumulated a list of controversies dating back to 2016.
