Joy for Lanz Priestley as ex Nina Wilson found not guilty

The former partner of Martin Place’s ‘homeless mayor’ Lanz Priestley has had a win in court, with a magistrate dismissing her stealing charge.

Nina Wilson, 20, who is the mother of Mr Priestley’s 12th child, was charged with stealing an iPhone 6 from a person in Doonside, in Sydney’s west.

Police said Ms Wilson stole the phone from a person between 6pm and 9pm on June 1, 2016.

But in the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday, Ms Wilson’s charge was dismissed.

Mr Priestley, 72, celebrated by posting on Facebook: ‘Nina Wilson not guilty, life goes on.’

Mr Priestley spoke to Daily Mail Australia after the birth of the couple’s daughter in July, and says despite the pair separating they are still ‘good friends’.

He described the newborn as ‘perfection’ in a doting interview.

‘She is a dream baby who sleeps six or seven hours a night,’ he said.

‘She is content and smiles a lot – I am so proud of them both.’

She now claims Mr Priestley isn’t the father of her child, despite naming her after him in a doting social media post after her birth.

The former couple happily posed in front of cameras after the Martin Place tent city was pulled down the first time, and expressed their joy at the impending birth.

The tent city and street kitchen has been torn apart twice since June – but Mr Priestley says he will continue to fight for it.
