The 40-year-old Virgin writer and director wore a black t-shirt with a rainbow logo for the Comedy Cellar with black pants and a black zip-front hoodie.
The couple have been married for nearly 27 years and share nepo baby daughters Maude Apatow, 26, and Iris Apatow, 21.

Both of their daughters are actresses with Maude starring in HBO’s Euphoria and Iris in the Netflix series Love and Krystal Kris.
It was Maude that inspired the creation of the term nepo baby back in 2022 when X (formerly Twitter) users were shocked to find out she was the daughter of Judd and Leslie.
The viral post sparked a fierce debate over whether or not the offspring of the rich and famous were getting an unfair leg up.
Earlier this month, Judd said that it is ‘insulting’ that Barbie has been designated for the Best Adapted Screenplay category in The Oscars race.
The filmmaker lambasted the decision by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
He wrote: ‘It’s insulting to the writers to say they were working off of existing material. There was no existing material or story. There was a clear box.’
It is interesting to note that Apatow believes there ‘was no existing material’ as the fashion doll Barbie has been around since 1959.
In fact previous Oscar nominees like Toy Story 3 and Borat 2 were ultimately identified as adapted screenplays with similar rationale.

Variety first reported that the Margot Robbie-led film would compete for Adapted Screenplay despite efforts to get it into the Original Screenplay category.
The Writers Branch of the Academy committee determines a film’s eligibility in submitted categorizations and is not bound to what the Writers Guild of America (WGA) wants or prefers.
The WGA previously designated Barbie as an original work and it has remained in that category for the upcoming WGA Awards.
Barbie was the highest-grossing movie of 2023 with a whopping $1.4billion global total.
