Eric Roberts is not often seen with his wife of 30 years, Eliza Roberts.
But on Thursday evening the 66-year-old veteran Hollywood actor – who is best known for the movies Runaway Train and The Specialist – was seen looking dapper in a tuxedo as he stood by her side at the Babylon premiere in Los Angeles.
The actor is also known for being the brother of 55-year-old Julia Roberts and the father of 31-year-old Emma Roberts.

Eric had on a black tuxedo jacket, striped slacks, a white shirt, bow tie and black tennis shoes with white soles.
His wife Eliza looked elegant in a royal blue crystal studded gown that was low cut and had a sheer overlay. She added peep toe shoes and a silver purse.
The beauty also had a black coat over her shoulders.
Also at the premiere were Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Olivia Wilde and Elle Fanning.

It was Eric who got into acting first followed by his sister Julia, who became an A list celebrity thanks to Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride.

In June Eric made rare comments about his relationship with his movie star sister Julia.
In an interview with Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef, theactor dismissed rumors of a feud with The Pelican Brief actress after years of speculation about a rift between the siblings.

‘Julia and I have always been fine,’ The Dark Knight star told the podcast host, even though they have not been photographed together in decades.
The Best of the Best performer went on to criticize the media scrutiny of his relationship with Julia after she skyrocketed to fame following the release of her hit romantic comedy Pretty Woman in 1990.
He said, ‘I think years and years ago I was doing a press tour for some movie. I don’t even know what movie it was. And it was just when Pretty Woman just got released.
‘And so they’re asking a bunch of questions about Julia. And I said, “Hey, excuse me. Can we talk about me?” I think I was very funny. And of course, then it’s like, “Oh, they have a problem. Oh my God, they have a problem.”

‘And suddenly all these problems I keep hearing about I have with my sister that I don’t have with my sister. And they’re just popping up all the place,’ he added.
The Mississippi native added, ‘And I’m asked about them as if they’re real issues. “So what happened? And so and so and so and so. “Oh, I wasn’t aware of that.”
‘”And so all so now they’re keeping a secret. So Eric won’t talk about it.” So it blew up and blew up and became all these things it wasn’t.
‘And we don’t agree on a lot of things,’ Eric explained. ‘My sister and I though, we’ve always talked, we’ve always bitched and we’ve always had fun knowing each other. Simple as that.’

David noted that siblings rarely agree on everything to which Eric replied, ‘Don’t get me wrong. I love knowing my sister. She’s, she’s a cool chick, my sister.’
The Academy Award nominee explained that Julia’s life is not easy as she balances raising three teenagers and starring in the Hulu political thriller Gaslit.
‘She’s got these three adolescent children now. I mean, her life, her life is not a day at the beach, dude,’ he said with a laugh. ‘You know? And, and she’s got a lot of s**t she has to deal with.

‘And she’s doing a TV series again now. I mean, she’s doing a lot of stuff and you know, so, you know, I don’t, I don’t ignore it. I just stay out of her hair with the press. And that’s all. Simple. And she, and she stays out of mine.’
David then asked Eric if he loves being an uncle to his younger sister’s children. The Erin Brockovich star shares fraternal twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and son Henry with her husband Danny Moder.
‘Well, I’ve got it made,’ Eric said. ‘I mean, I’ve got it made. And it’s like, it’s like being grandparent. I have my granddaughter.’
Eric’s stepdaughter Morgan has a daughter named Georgia. And Eric shares daughter Emma Roberts with his ex-partner Kelly Cunningham. Emma is mother to son Rhodes, whom she shares with her ex Garrett Hedlund.
He added, ‘I mean, I’m like, Spider-Man, I’m the ultimate guy. And it’s just really cool. And it’s the same as being an uncle, you know.’
‘What type of mom is Julia to these three kids?’ David asked.

The Runaway Train actor responded, ‘Oh, you know what, if I start doing that, I’m going to get myself in trouble no matter what I say.’
‘I do not want to get you in trouble,’ the host said.
‘Thank you, buddy, ‘ Eric replied.
He added, ‘She’s a great mom, by the way. She’s a cool mom. She’s a hip mom. She knows it all.’
David said, ‘It’s not easy being the cool mom. I just think that is a media thing. Forget about you. Let’s not get you in trouble. Just anyone you look at. There’s a million people that have mother/daughter in the business.
He continued, ‘It’s like, it’s, it’s something about the business. When there’s family members, especially siblings, I think it gets taken, and again, I can name a hundred other people. It gets taken in a strange direction. I do think that.’
‘Yeah, I know. I know,’ Eric said. ‘I’ve been there.’
Over the years, Eric has only once talked openly about his relationship with Julia. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2018, he admitted that his past struggles with drug addiction and his split with Kelly created a rift between him and Julia.
The Academy Award winner sided with Kelly after the separation and helped pay her legal fees during her custody battle with Eric over then two-year-old Emma.

During the interview, Eric reflected on his complicated relationship with Julia as well as his sister Lisa.
He told Vanity Fair. ‘I wouldn’t characterize it as a falling-out. I was crazy about my sisters. Loved them, adored them. They were precious to me, and we had times of great closeness.
‘We all felt very protective of each other, but the hardest person to protect yourself from is yourself.’
The actor explained that his decades-long drug abuse caused Julia to distance herself from him.
‘I was exhausting to be around: complainy, blamey, unable to enjoy enjoyment,’ Eric said. ‘Everyone in my world needed a break sometimes, and that must have included Julia.’

However, he explained that after years of estrangement, the siblings reunited in 2004 when Julia welcomed Hazel and Phinnaeus.
Eric said that he visited the hospital after his younger sister gave birth ‘to drop off gifts.’
He added, ‘Instead I was ushered into their room and was immediately awash in brotherly and uncle-ly love.’
The performer went on to say that after that visit, they spent several Thanksgivings together and became ’email buddies.’
Eric also took credit for the successful careers of his sister and daughter, telling Vanity Fair, ‘If it wasn’t for me, there would be no Julia Roberts and no Emma Roberts as celebrities, as actresses, and I’m very proud of that.
‘When Julia first came to New York, I went into William Morris and I said, “Which one of you is going to sign my sister Julia?”‘
He added, ‘And I am so proud that everybody knows I was first, because I was first by a long shot. I was first to get Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations, so I’m proud of that.’
