Julianne suffers from endometriosis which has made it difficult for her to conceive naturally.
The star told Access that she’s being candid and forthcoming about her ongoing efforts in an effort to set an example for others.
‘I have nothing to be ashamed of,’ the Rock of Ages beauty said, adding that she hopes ‘to debunk beliefs that like, there’s something wrong with you, or that you can’t do something, whatever that might be.’
Hough has been forthright about their efforts and impacting factors, as she’s dealing with endometriosis, a medical condition that can impact fertility.

She told the program that she feels better when talking about her journey.
‘I think the more I’m open the more therapeutic it is for me to not suppress it and hide it, and the more I’m open, it also helps somebody else who sees themselves in me feel understood and heard,’ the Dancing with the Stars personality said.
The Orem, Utah native continued: ‘I think at the end of the day – that’s my whole mission – is to feel so connected to myself that I’m not embarrassed or ashamed about anything, and I’m as free as can be and that people can feel encouraged to have that same freedom.’
Hough said that it’s a daily effort staying positive and focused amid the process.
‘By the way, it’s not like, “I got it,”‘ she said. ‘Every day is a constant evolution and I hope that I’m evolving the rest of my life.’

Laich praised his spouse’s drive in talking about the IVF journey on his podcast How Men Think earlier this summer.
‘The commitment that she made to us having a family is something I’ll never forget,’ said the retired NHL player. ‘Knowing she has endometriosis, it could potentially make things challenging in the future to conceive naturally. That was just a looking at the big picture and what we want as a family.’
The former Washington Capitals player opened up on his role in the process, saying, ‘As a husband, I just go into full support mode. Whatever my wife needs, whatever I can do, I’m fighting the smallest portion of the fight with her.
‘There are certain things in my wife’s life that I know she appreciates that help her feel calm and help her feel relaxed, so I double those efforts during that time just to show that I’m there with her and I support her.’
Julianne and Brooks began dating in December 2013; they went public with their romance in February of the following year.
The duo revealed their engagement on August 18, 2015 before tying the knot on July 8, 2017 in Idaho.
Julianne – who has also had her eggs frozen – was also called a ‘champion’ by her husband after enduring three injections a day for two weeks and dealing with mood swings caused by the hormone treatments.
