Suburbicon explores what happens when a home break-in turns wrong leading them to turn to blackmail and revenge to survive.
The film also explores the topical tension between White and African-Americans at the time – a very topical subject deliberately explored by Clooney.

‘I was very impressed with what George did. He lulls you in, he starts this movie in a sense of relaxation, that this is gonna be about nostalgia, the perfect world and these lovely families,’ she said.
‘Then right away you’re thrust into not only a historical moment that has unfortunately been repeated in the United States, where we’re confronted with our own basest behaviours.’
‘But it also becomes that idea of, what happens when people’s desires are unchecked? Who are the casualties? It makes us examine our own cruelty,’ she added.

In the film, Julianne plays twins Rose and Margaret- both of whom become tied up in the crime.
This year Julianne also marks 20 years since starring in the cult classic, The Big Lebowski, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen.
Her next film is Bel Canto where she will play American opera singer Roxane Coss, who is trapped in a hostage situation after performing for a South American Industrialist, according to Deadline.
