Julie Boye and her husband Alex – a singer/songwriter who has featured on America’s Got Talent and toured with groups like NSYNC & Backstreet Boys – have Instagram and YouTube accounts through which they share their family of five children’s misadventures at home in Utah.
In this video, filmed throughout an especially hectic Saturday, Julie ferries her children between sports, drags her son down the street on a ‘leash’ made of a long red sweet, watches her daughter in a play as she gets stuck on the wrong side of the curtains at the end, and the whole family celebrate her young son’s first time using the toilet independently.
‘What a crazy Saturday! Soccer games and gymnastics meetings and dance concerts and Alex concerts…my word, I’m ready for bed,’ said Julie wrote on Instagram when posting the video.
Julie said that she and her husband Alex had been encouraged not to marry because she was white and her husband Alex is black.
‘We’re a biracial family with 5 kids ages 6 and under (with one on the way) and our life is pure chaos.

‘But we are BEATING THE ODDS! We were encouraged NOT to date and ESPECIALLY not to marry, because interracial marriages are ‘more difficult’ because of culture differences and backgrounds but we are ten years married with almost six kids and we are beating those odds!’
Mrs Boye said that she tries to stay fit and even works out when she is pregnant and she hopes to inspire other mum’s that they can too.
