Julius Randle left the Knicks’ Game 5 vs. the Cavs on Wednesday night after appearing to reinjure his left ankle, which he previously sprained towards the end of the regular season.

Randle landed awkwardly with roughly a minute left in the half while contesting a shot from Cleveland’s Caris Levert.

The Knicks star grabbed his ankle at the play and received medical attention from trainers.

He eventually limped to the locker room without help, though he did not take the floor in the second half.

Randle was spotted on the Knicks’ sideline in street clothes during the fourth quarter.

Randle missed the last five games of the regular season after spraining his ankle on March 29, and was a question mark to be healthy for the start of the Cavs series.

However, Randle was available for Game 1, and averaged 14.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists through the first four games of the series prior to Wednesday’s injury.

Randle exited Game 5 with 13 points, six assists and four rebounds in 16 minutes.

His team would win the game 106-95 without him, and will hope the Heat – up 3-1 on the Bucks entering Game 5 – don’t win on Wednesday so Randle can get some extra rest.
