Jurgen Klinsmann says he would ‘always consider’ an offer to manage his former club Tottenham.
Klinsmann played for Spurs between 1994 and 1995 before returning on loan in 1997. The striker scored 29 goals in 50 Premier League appearances and was popular during his time in north London.
The 56-year-old has been out of work since leaving Hertha Berlin in February 2020 after just 10 weeks in charge but is keen to get back into management.

And Klinsmann admitted he would be interested in the vacant role at his former club.
He told Sky Sports: ‘Definitely you’d entertain it, no doubt. He [Daniel Levy] has my number, he can call me anytime. Spurs is something that you’d always consider.
‘I’m always in touch and doing stuff with Spurs is always something special. I had the best time of my life there during my two spells.

‘In the football world, things happen so fast. I never thought I’d coach Germany or the United States so you have to have an open mind. You have to always think about new challenges, so why not Spurs?’
The German was also asked about Harry Kane’s future, with the striker having asked to leave the club this summer.
He added: ‘I personally hope he stays at Spurs but I also can understand him. I was in that situation in 1995. I badly wanted silverware and it worked out that way. I went to Bayern Munch and won the UEFA Cup and German Championship.
‘The quality is there. It needs a bit of fixing up but the key figure in all this is definitely Harry Kane. You’ve got to do everything possible to keep him.’
Klinsmann’s first managerial role was with the German national team. After a disastrous Euro 2004, he led them to a third place finish at the 2006 World Cup before deciding to step down.

He then joined Bayern Munich in 2008 but was sacked with five games reamining of his first season following a disappointing campaign.
In 2011 Klinsmann was appointed manager of the United States national team and guided them to the round of 16 at the 2014 World Cup.
However, he was sacked in 2016 following the country’s worst ever performance in CONCAF Gold Cup in 2015 and a run of poor results in the qualifying group for the 2018 World Cup, which the USA did not compete at.
Klinsmann joined Hertha Berlin in November 2019 but left two months later following a disagreement with the club’s sporting director over transfers.
