‘Just put him out of his misery!’: Jamie Carragher calls on Tottenham to sack Antonio Conte TONIGHT after his extraordinary press conference where he slaughtered his ‘selfish’ players… claiming the Italian ‘WANTS’ to be axed

Jamie Carragher has weighed in on Antonio Conte’s extraordinary comments following his Tottenham side’s 3-3 draw with relegation-threatened Southampton.

Taking to Twitter, the pundit and former Liverpool legend said that the Spurs hierarchy should ‘put him out of his misery’, responding to a clip from the Italian manager’s post-match press conference.

Incensed by the squandered lead, Conte vented his spleen saying his players were selfish, they lacked ‘fire in their eyes’ and that this was why the club ‘had never won anything’.

Carragher shared his thoughts on the explosive press conference on the social media platform, tweeting: ‘Conte wants to be sacked in this international break. Spurs should just put him out of his misery and do it tonight.’

Following the draw, Conte did not debrief his players immediately after the final whistle, but went straight to his media duties, clearly keen to speak his mind.
