He’s just announced his shock split from model girlfriend Kate Fowler, who he shares two children with.
And now it seems it wasn’t just Justin Hemmes’ personal life that took a bit of a blow recently.
Justin, 45, who is at the helm of the Merivale empire, recently snapped up Bondi’s Royal Hotel, but revellers threw a wild farewell party that damaged the property before he got the keys.

The Wentworth Courier reports ‘thousands’ of revellers headed down to the iconic Sydney venue for a weekend-long party to ‘down their sorrows,’ and punched a hole in the ceiling.
Another partygoer destroyed a security camera, with the hotel’s Facebook page calling the man a ‘ratbag’ and sharing footage of the camera being ripped out.
As the publication reports, the party was advertised on Facebook, with part of the event invite reading: ‘It’s the last weekend of the Royal as we know it. Let’s not be sad, let’s just blow the roof of the joint with one hell of a last party.’

Merivale snapped up the pub for a cool $30 million, with Merivale confirming to the publication that they would not be suing over the damage.
The spokesperson played down how much damage was done to the premises and assured locals the old charm of the hotel would kept intact, for when it re-opens next month.
‘We certainly aren’t pursuing legal action; there was only some damage to the acoustic ceiling panels which are being replaced,’ the spokesperson told the publication.

They added that the front bar won’t be getting a major overhaul, but said the restaurant and courtyard will be revamped.
It comes after The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Justin and girlfriend of three years, Kate Fowler, 28, had split.
