Juventus are interested in signing Jorginho, confirms midfielder’s agent… but he expects the Italian to stay at Chelsea next season despite admitting the Euro 2020 winner’s future is ‘all in the hands’ of the club
- Jorginho played a crucial role for Italy on their way to winning Euro 2020
- The midfielder also won the Champions League with Chelsea during last season
- His agent Joao Santos has confirmed Serie A giants Juventus are tracking him
- But he expects the midfielder to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer
Juventus have made their interest in Italy star Jorginho known, the Chelsea midfielder’s agent has confirmed.
The 29-year-old played a crucial role for his country this summer as they went on to win Euro 2020, beating England on penalties in Sunday’s final at Wembley.
The Brazil-born midfielder was named in UEFA’s Team of the Tournament and some have even tipped him to win the Ballon d’Or after also being part of Chelsea’s Champions League winning campaign in 2020-21.

The former Napoli star fuelled talk of a return to Serie A in March after admitting London’s weather was grinding him down and stating he misses Naples.
But his agent Joao Santos now claims Serie A giants Juventus have shown their interest in the Euro 2020 winner.
Asked if Juventus were seeking a move for Jorginho, Santos told Calciomercato: ‘I confirm it, these interests have arrived.
‘Of course, at 29 he can do very well in all the top European clubs and many are interested in him.’
Some have tipped him for the Ballon d’Or having won the Champions League with Chelsea
Santos however in April stated Jorginho – who has a contract at Chelsea until 2023 – would ‘100 per cent’ remain at Stamford Bridge beyond this summer.
And he appeared to confirm something similar, hinting his client’s situation will only change if a ‘major club’ firms up their interest in a serious manner.
‘He has a two-year contract, and it’s all in the hands of the club,’ Santos added. ‘There is the World Club Championship, there is the European Super Cup.
‘For a footballer these are important goals. But, the transfer market is always the transfer market and if a major club comes forward seriously with Chelsea then we will evaluate.
‘At the moment, Jorginho will play it at Chelsea next season.’
