She’s fast becoming one of the most in-demand young models in the industry at the tender age of 16, walking for Chanel, posing for Calvin Klein and designing her own capsule collection for Karl Lagerfeld accessories.
But away from the catwalk, Kaia Gerber’s home life in Malibu is surprisingly normal involving typical staples of teenage life – homework, movie nights and bagels.
The 16-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about her perfect day, which would consist of waking up late at 9am and scrolling through Instagram while listening to music – favourites include Stormzy and Skepta.
She often starts the day with a family bike ride on the beach, but rather than frolicking in the surf all afternoon the teenager takes the opportunity to catch up on her homework as she’s completing her Malibu High School diploma through an online programme.
‘It’s difficult to get much done during the week, as the Wi-Fi on planes is really annoying,’ she explained. ‘My favorite class this year is AP Calculus because I just like math. It’s definitely super hard to teach yourself derivatives, though.’
Aside from her arithmetic homework, carbs seem to be her favourite thing as she starts her day with a bagel and admitted to a love of penne with vodka sauce, saying: ‘I don’t go a day without eating pasta’.

Other food favourites include steak tacos and banana splits from Café Habana Malibu.
After dinner, the model likes to watch a movie with her family before turning in early at 9pm.
The rising star made her catwalk debut during New York Fashion Week in September 2017 after she rang in her 16th birthday.
Kaia has already walked down glamorous runways for Chanel, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent and Isabel Marant.
The model also landed her first solo edition of the French fashion bible at the tender age of 16 while her mother had secured her first Vogue cover aged 20 in 1986.
She is reportedly dating fellow model Fenton Palmer Rothwell, son of former Eastenders star Patsy Palmer.
The pair are a match made in model heaven with IMG sweetheart Kaia having graced the pages of Vogue and Fenton modelling for Los Angeles management The Dragonfly Agency.
They were introduced to each other through their famous mothers who have forged a close friendship over the years.
A source told The Sun: ‘It’s very early days but they have grown close and seem very happy together.’
‘Fenton and Kaia have been close pals for a while through their mums’ friendship and in recent months it has grown into something more.’
