Kansas City Chiefs ‘finalizing $76m deal to send L’Jarius Sneed to the Titans with Super Bowl winner to earn guaranteed $55m… making him one of the highest-paid CBs in NFL history’

Chiefs star L’Jarius Sneed is reportedly close to joining the Tennessee Titans in a $76million deal that will make him one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in NFL history.

According to ESPN, the Titans and Sneed have negotiated the outline of an agreement over recent days and Bleacher Report claims Sneed will earn an average of $19m over four years, with $55m guaranteed.

The move is set to be formalized once Sneed passes his physical. The 27-year-old was part of the team that won a second successive Super Bowl in Las Vegas in February.

Sneed was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft and went on to establish himself as an important part of Andy Reid’s defense.

It’s claimed that, unless a good offer arrived, Kansas City was willing to pay the cornerback to be on the franchise tag during the 2025 season.

Tennessee reportedly consider Sneed to be one of the best defensive players in the NFL and pushed hard to secure his signature on a four-year deal.

The Titans had already signed cornerback Chidobe Aquzie during free agency. They have also added wide receiver Calvin Ridley, center Lloyd Cushenberry and running back Tony Pollard to the roster this offseason.

Sneed leaves the Chief on the back of Super Bowl victories alongside the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Actor Paul Rudd cherished his hug with Kelce following the Kansas City Chiefs’ win in Las Vegas earlier this year.

The Hollywood star is a longtime Chiefs super fan and attended the big game with his son Jack, 17.

Following Chiefs’ thrilling 25-22 overtime win against the San Francisco 49ers the A-Lister made his way down to the field where he shared a celebratory hug with Kelce.

‘Travis Kelce is the greatest guy, he really is,’ Rudd said to MTV News. ‘He’s been involved in a charity of ours in Kansas City for years and years … And then to get to hug Travis Kelce right after a Super Bowl win. It just makes no sense. It’s unreal.’

‘When they won, it was pure elation. It really is truly the greatest feeling,’ he added. ‘And I was there with my kid and he’s feeling the same way, and to share that with him…’
