Kanye West has filed court documents opposing Kim Kardashian’s request to be declared legally single as their divorce continues to drag on.
‘Kim’s motion should be denied without prejudice so that Kim can refile it with the mandatory corrections and requested conditions set forth in the proposed judgment. Alternatively, a hearing regarding these additional conditions should be set,’ according to documents obtained by E!, filed by Kanye’s lawyer in response to Kim’s bifurcation request.
In his response, West said he wanted certain safeguards in place for his assets before a ruling was made, according to Page Six. He also claimed a lawyer for Kim had shut down all of his proposals.

The site reports West seems concerned Kim may remarry before their divorce is officially finalized. This may have spurred the documentation.
Kanye has requested they establish a ‘right of reimbursement’, which will see either party being ‘reimbursed monies owed in case one of them died,’ according to Page Six.
However an attorney for Kim has ‘asserted that this condition is unnecessary given the premarital agreement.’
In addition, Kanye is seeking to ensure ‘no assets are transferred out of trusts they created,’ Page Six reports.
West filed an opposition to Kim’s bifurcation request, which saw her ask to be declared legally single amid their ongoing divorce, according to documents obtained by E!
Kim has also called the condition ‘unnecessary’ as their prenup keeps their assets separate.
Kanye also wants Kim to waive marital privilege until a final agreement has been made on their property and custody of their four children.
