Kanye West’s ex-lawyers finally locate him after months of trying to drop the rapper as a client

Kanye West’s former lawyers have finally managed to locate him.

Attorneys at Greenberg Traurig LLP – the firm that represented West for a number of legal disputes – have reportedly been searching for the rapper for months so that they could officially drop him as a client, according to Billboard.

The lawyers served the musician, 45 – who was reportedly named a suspect in a battery investigation last week – with a judge’s order explaining that they quit and that he had to find new attorneys.

Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband was not easy to locate, and according to lawyers for Greenberg Traurig he had left his other residences and business addresses and was found at a location ‘primarily used by persons and entities not affiliated with Ye or his businesses.’

Serving Ye with the order brings the law firm closer to finally severing their ties with the Donda artist, who’s been dropped by a number of companies after he went on several antisemitic tirades since last October.

The firm was representing him in a number of cases, including one brought by copyright holders alleging that he used uncredited music samples.

They were also his representatives in a class action lawsuit from workers claiming they were overworked and underpaid while working on an opera for him, among other litigation.

The attorneys representing him allegedly wanted to stop, and asked judges who were overseeing the cases whether they could withdraw their counsel.

The majority of the judges agreed to the request requiring the attorneys to only serve the Yeezy creator with a withdrawal notice, however US District Judge Analisa Torres – who’s overlooking his uncredited samples case in Manhattan – wanted them to also serve him with an order she wrote.

The order explained that she allowed the firm to withdraw their counsel and that he would need to get new attorneys or represent himself in court.

In a number of court filings the attorneys stated that Ye was difficult to locate as he had switched his phone number and had stopped responding to their texts.

The law firm was finally able to serve the singer with the order on January 27, according to court documents which were filed on Friday.

It’s one of West’s many legal battles as of late. Last week he was reportedly named a suspect in a battery investigation after allegedly snatching a cellphone belonging to a woman and throwing it.

In a video shared on social media, West was en route to his daughter North and son Saint’s basketball game in LA when the alleged incident occurred.

The rapper, who seemingly suspected he was being followed by paparazzi, is seen exiting his black Mercedes-Benz to allegedly confront the female in her vehicle.

His new ‘wife’ Bianca Censori was seen in the passenger’s seat of his car and did not follow the Grammy Award-winner.

West – who shares North, nine, Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and Psalm, three, with Kim, 42 – shocked fans when it was reported earlier last month that he had married new ‘wife’ Bianca.

His divorce from Kim – whom he was married to for nearly seven years – was finalized in December but the former couple were declared legally single this past March.

Earlier last month, Kanye reportedly said ‘I do’ to the Australian-born architect during a private, secret ceremony, and the rapper was soon seen with a wedding band on his ring finger.

Although the two have yet to file for a marriage certificate to officially legalize their nuptials, Kanye has worn the ring to signify his ‘commitment’ to Bianca, according to TMZ.
